A remapped Furby is a good match against a std Otcy

A std Furby is a good match against a std 150bhp octy.

fabia - standard weight (+ some luggage apparently) power not really known as it has a generic remap and hasn't been on a RR

red octavia - standard weight with a custom remap giving(i think) 220bhp and 238lbft

white octavia - well, weight. has no spare but also has an mdf boot build with 4 12" subs in it so probaby around 1550Kg with no driver only RR run on it was 226bhp and 256lbft but since then it has gained a turbo back system but also gained a knackered turbo and maf so unless i was to go out and go on a RR as is its anyones guess what its actually running now. its also a 4x4 so may have better traction but also has bigger transmision loses.

i take the post with a pinch of salt about the fabia beating say an f1 car (joke - just an example don't get excited).

aslong as i can embarrass ****'s in a std furby i dont mind. i don't race just hate ***** in banged up, modded hatches screaming past me in my clio.

imagine a 4x4 furby that would be cool maybe uprated engine to 160bhp.

i love the understated looks of skoda's that why i am purchasing one.

A couple of seconds difference in a short period of time is fairly significant. Granted, this isn't world-class motorsport, but in GPs, drag races and even athletics, times are split by fractions of a second! I was only stirring in my earlier posts:) It looked like good fun.

You shouldn't, just be realistic. I'm under no illusions that my car is a world-class Touring Car racer!

and it wasn't that pointless as both the fabia and the other octavia had the same mods, a simple remap.

i was there for the fun of it.

bring your calibra down so we can laugh at the rubbish lights and watch in awe as the plastic 4WD system tears itself apart when you try and do 3 or 4 5k launches in 20 minutes.

omg you best had ring the now RAC if a calibra 4WD is going down the runway.

we could even start a bet to see how many full bore starts before it breaks.

It may well have been pointless, but in all honesty I did not set out with a die- hard "I can beat anything on the road" attitude.

The whole excersise (sp) basically boiled down to three interested parties wishing to see what thier respective vehicles were like against each other in a straight line.

Oh, and we decided to video the whole lot for your viewing pleasure

Rest assured though I'll never speak to Bengie or Phil ever again cos I'm a sore loser :rofl:

I'll be up for that (if/when it happens), I'd come down to your runway but it's a bit far for just a lunch time meet up.
