You'll see from my vid that it was close to 90 ish - but then the fabia's house-brick styling let it down in the aero dept. - either that or it ran out of puff.

We could take this to the next level and book the long straight at Bruntingthorpe. AIR it's wide enough for several cars to thrash down. Could even set up a speed trap at the bottom, for all you top speed jocks.

I wish I lived closer to you guys, I'd like to see how my 182 measures up in all of this - I'd reckon it'd probably be pretty close up to a ton, but after that I can imagine the aerodynamics of mine isn't too great either - mine is as quick to 60 as a CTR, but the CTR has almost 10 mph higher top speed!

@ Paul, as I've said before my fabia keeps up with a 182 with the Ren sport ECU. from zero to flat out, he just dissapears when it gets twisty.

When I played with the CTR, I was minus rear seats and spare wheel, and all other poo, he had the edge, but really only 90 and above. I dont mess with 182's. Not at all. I played with one the same evening as the CTR, I was on my own, stripped out etc. He was all over me until he could pass at 80 plus. He had FOUR PASSENGERS :eek:

I dont know if it was standard, but it was the lightweight model, not so light 5 up tho. Not to be messed with.

so you can keep up with a civic type r ( to 90mph) but a clio 182 was all over you?

I have friends with both and when they try to keep up with my calibra turbo the civic has more successn than the clio

Hi Shifty,

The CTR is marginally quicker than a 182, i think its something like 16.5 secs 0-100 for the CTR and 17.0 secs for the 182. There are a number of different 182's, but generally, theres only a few tenths of a second in it either way.

Maybe that one was tuned? Or maybe the CTR was not trying as hard as it could. Its always difficult to tell unless its pre-arranged, or you could have a word afterwords.
