07 Octy VRS hatch soon to be replaced by 4x4 VRS Combi

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I've owned a stock 2007 Octavia diesel VRS hatch for 8 years.  Brilliant all-round (thinking man's BMW, Audi) family car, I've towed caravans for the last 3 years too without any issues.  Time for a replacement,  Prerequisite DSG, big hatch or estate with plenty of space, 4x4 and sporty,  I was looking at BMW & Audi's mainly.  Then I stumbled across the VRS 4x4 estate, after some research I placed an order and this should be with me early October (fingers crossed)!!!

Spec: SKODA OCTAVIA DIESEL ESTATE 2.0 TDI CR vRS 5dr DSG 4x4,   Options: Canton sound system, Black design plus pack, Winter pack, Special paint – Corrida red, Crew protection assist and rear side airbags, Towing bracket – removable and lockable, Leather – Black with red stitching + heated front seats, Space saver spare wheel and Service pack.

I've also taken a bit of a risk by ordering through a Broker, Credit card Section 75 law refunds is helping me sleep at night, (pay the deposit by credit card and you're covered. The law's specific on this, you get the protection for the whole cost of an item or service, even if you only pay for a part of it on credit. The only condition is that what you're buying costs more than £100 and less than £30,000) although I've only paid a small deposit so far, balance a few days before the cars arrival.

Local dealer like for like price £2000 more expensive, I'd hoped they could match the broker price obviously.

I'll keep any interested parties informed of my progress.

John
