Advice on replacement Columbus unit

Featured Replies

I have a 2009 Skoda Superb SE L. The Columbus unit has been deemed ‘dead as a parrot’ by my local Skoda dealership. They have tried to reboot it, but the logo still comes on every 20 seconds and the unit has no functions. The replacement price for a new unit is a small mortgage, nearly £1900.00.

I understand the part number of my Columbus unit is 3T00356801KB. Most of the used units on auction websites are 3T0035680K (manufactured in 2015). The replacement units come with SW5270 installed and HW: H10.

So I am in a dilemma that will a newer manufactured Columbus be suitable for my 2009 car. Any thoughts?

Finally any advice when buying second hand Columbus units?

Many thanks

I have a deal on a replacement unit just at the moment. Check the link in my sig, or you could send me your old unit for a check over for a repair.
