Amundsen MIB STD2 infotainment system with Android in Superb II

Hi

 

im located in australia and wanting to uodate the system in my 08 octavia 2 vrs to support carplay/smartlink. I tried to pm pab567 as he has indicated he can assist with supply and setup of the amundsen std2 but it says he cannot rcv msgs. Hoping I get a reply from someone that can assist

Yes. It's just coding.

I Can see I somehow missed some posts with sound quality complaints. If you don't have Sound System you can go to adaptation channels, found the one that contains text Audio parameter and test values from 1 to 3 - they do make difference

It works but only in D/E units, at least SW0353 is what I tested.

I think it is Superb 3 that it shows and there is some text over car picture so I believe this is some remains of test software that by coincidence has not been removed from production version.

Hi All,

 

I'm from Ukraine, and I want to update my old Swing to this awesome Bolero or Amundsen system in my Octavia 2 2011 to support smartlink (Android Auto). 

From pab567's post I understand that i need 5L0035200B/C/D/E.

I suppose I also need microphone.

Does gateway should be updated? What else should be done?

 

And the mail problem, I can't find any Bolero/Amundsen in Ukraine.

I saw some units on ebay, but almost all cannot be sent to Ukraine, and I don't know what to do with Component Protection.

As you probably remember, one of disadvantages of installing MIB STD2 PQ unit in Superb Mk2 were missing icons for missed / outgoing / incoming calls in MaxiDot - instead of them there were suqares. This has been solved - original SUperb Mk2 instruments cluster has been flashed with firmware Yeti. Then some adjustments were made to have meters (speed, fuel, water tempaerture) and indicators (lights etc.) working correctly and here is the result:

My question is, does someone has an update newer than 245 for the Bolero?

 

It has some bugs I'm trying to crunch I understood where solved in newer version (mainly display of non-latin characters).

Hi,

 

I have an Octavia (2016) with Amundsen MIB2 device (5Q0035864A).

 

SmartLink was activated in it, so I have MirrorLink, but I don't have Android Auto..

 

Is this because the HW version is ..A ?

A software update could help on this (HW H25, SW 0245) or I need to replace the media unit to be able to have AA ?

If you see only MirrorLink  not SmartLink on screen then only way is to change the unit ro newer.

Hi,

Anyone knows how to install ECE2? (Kodiaq + Columbus, system status informs ECE1 is installed).

I've downloaded ECE2 pack. Extracted on formatted SD, inserted into SD2 slot (the original Nav SD resides in SD1), however when asking to update I get error that update media is not found (or similar).
