No with...A unit you can have only MirroLink, if you change to higher one you will get SmartLink (AA/CP/ML)

I have installed original VW USB HUB 5G0035953C and enabled 2nd USB

 

Now each of them can be used for SmartLink and powers / charges phone

Interesting! same with AppleCarPlay? does BT or handset work for both phones?

I have not tried CarPlay as I don't owe any iPhones... but you are welcome if you want to check

Also installed this in my Yeti. 
Works like a charm. 

had to update the PDC module to remove the (Parkassist not available error) and to get the rearview cam and OPS on 1 screen. 
I used this one : 5J0919475C

 

 

It's such a shame that there doesn't seem to be anyone in the UK who offers this mod as a service. :(

Proper Bluetooth communication with rds510 like windows phones have (had) is all I need.

What functionally did google remove from Android?

 

Not sure what an rdc510 is, assuming you mean either the rns510 or rcd510 then neither have BT capability. It's down to the separate BT module...

I don't know what to call it but it resulted in the Bluetooth speakers being used for output, ie ok google responses would be heard via Bluetooth and ok google would be initiated via car microphone (may be wrong on the second point)

I came to android after the fact and discovered that complete car functionality I had with windows phone was lost.

Just to point out, the front assist camera doesn't require a MIB STD2 headunit.

 

Lane assist/high beam assist don't require a sat nav at all. Sign recognition will also work with the RNS-510 depending which camera is fitted.

 

Similar pictures from when I did this a little while back. I've since added the lane assist LED and updated the cluster to show the assistance view.

I don't understand. You actually retrofitted the Skoda assistance systems? How is that possible?

Yes...

 

Added a camera capable of lane assist/traffic sign assist and high beam assist. Wired it in as per other similar PQ platform cars. Coded the car to use it. Calibrated as per the factory manual. Done!

Impressive. Enough said!

You can open the downloaded files using the Google Chrome browser if you have it (.webp files are a Google owned format).

No pictures yet, I've only had it fitted temporarily so far to show it works. Hoping to fit it properly at some point.

With the RNS-510 try 3AA 980 654 D.

With a MIB STD2 try 3Q0 980 654 F.

A separate thread with part numbers and instructions for this would be nice, I need a project for next summer..
