Cant help you with that, at my place, everything works fine. Hold power button for 10+ seconds, to restart columbus, if that will solve your problem. Otherwise, here http://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/ you can find also latest update, for your bluetooth, maybe that will help.

  • 3 weeks later...

is this 411 firmware ok to use ?

worried now ive seen someone with issues (skodilakrs1).

what benefits is it supposed to bring?

Firmware 0411 is fine to use, I have been using it for nearly a year, but offers very little benefit over 0409 unless you have Canton, where it addresses some volume issues.

I'm currently on 0360 and experiencing no issues apart from the sound is a little on the thin side with a lack of bass.

Any benefit upgrading to 0411?

Seems all ok but not checked phone yet.

Thank you everyone who helped with providing download links and advice.

I upgraded form same version as you to 0411, and i must admit that bass and volume are better, but dont expect too much.

Since i have this car, which is 3 months, i noticed that big part of volume/bass is coming from source you are listening from. I have DAB, and difference in DAB/FM is like day to night. Also media from USB/SD are way better than FM.

Ok so  I went out to the car and phoned home just to test it and it all works fine.

Sounded great, maybe better than before or it could be I'm imagining its a better fuller tone less tinny. Lol

Hey!

Is possible to return the mib1 to previous firmware,or reinstal the new one again?  I have see that on the end has write that has be one error. So i think i have problem vith voice and bulettoth phone for that error.

Is possible to reinstal? Or previous firmware install?

Thanx

Im not sure, you can reinstall new one, also, i dont think that firmware update has anything to do with your voice/bluetooth error. Error message on the end is informational nature. If you scan your car with VCDS, you will see error code, saying check version, and you can fix that with some coding.

Did you try to update bluetooth from official skoda website ? http://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/ , here you can find bluetooth update. Download it, put in on USB, and try to update via service menu.

Hey!  I have try update bluetoth and nothing...

Here is the fault code  B129B13

Is possible that have i something broken when i open the head unit?  Just chek if is anything damage inside becous no sound from speaker.  What do you think?

B129B13

That doesn't mean anything to me. How did you arrive at a fault code like that?

Have you a VCDS scan from before you started fiddling with the unit and also one from after the update?

Obdeleven  code lookup  says that's microphone open circuit error code.

Where that open circuit is could be anywhere in the head unit or the wiring to it from the mic.

I dont know...before i do green engenering menu hard reset..or new firmware instal...all works perfect.  I dont think ther is a hardware problem..

Can be a coding problem?

Somehow appear option for update Mib1, but a could not press the "START" button. It seems that everything is empty:...

Took the plunge and updated from 0360 to 0411 today.

The sound doesn't seem as thin so could be an improvement.

Media selection seem slicker.

But I had a problem that no matter what I'd been listening to previously I'd turn on and it would play track 1 from USB. It appears the update has not resolved that.

Scanned with OBD eleven and I have the upgrade management error. Will get around to clearing that when it's a bit cooler and I can get my head around it.
