Door lights dosen't light up

Featured Replies

  Hi everyone,
I just bought a skoda octavia 3 elegance and the door lights doesn't light up. In the front doors there is the red plate but it doesn't illuminate, when i took it to the dealership they said that it's not fitted with door lights but like i said the red plate is there.
I don't now if its deactivated by factory or i need to activate it with vcds.
Please help

Unfortunately you have only reflectors not lamps.

If you miss them you need to buy the lamps and wire them to the door controller. You'll need to remove the door cards.

Then you can activate them with VCDS.

It's a shame that they are not standard on newer cars.

Mine is factory fitted and I have a MY14 Elegance.

What year is your car? I got same car (dec13) and those lights there working fine. did SKODA dealer confirm you that they are not meant to illuminate..if it was not SKODA dealer then you can call them and ask if they are meant to work or not. Cause i had small LED red light not working on top of the driver door and my dealer said they are not suppose to flash but when i called to the SKODA and gave them my reg number they confirmed me that it should work..so my dealer they fixed it. it was just the cable which was not plugged in inside the door trim.. your case could be the same.

I have octavia MY17. Style.

Same "problem" like you. Dealer told me that from MY17 there is no loght...just reflectors.
