Hi

 

I received 2 days ago my new Škoda Octavia Estate MY17 4x4 2.0TDI 135kW and i want to some VCDS modifications.

But VCDS give fault "Unsupported vehicle".

With this cable and software i made modification 8 months old Octavia 1.4TSI 110kW and 2 months old Superb 2.0TDI 140kW.

Does anybody good idea what to do? Or what could be wrong?

You should install the latest from ross-tech and try that.

 

If it doesn't work, try their beta.

 

If that doesn't work, try contacting them

I received the same message on vcds 17.1.3 ( english and romanian)

Now untill ross-tech relese a new software ( beta is nou on ver. 17.4.2 ) i use the OBDeleven and is a nice tool.(http://obdeleven.com/)

And you can do Long Coding with this OBDeleven?

 

I think that i buy EasyDiag 2.0 or Golo365 and use X431 Pro3 software.

Yesterday i tested this and works very well.

And with this software you can do more car brands.

On brand new cars I tend to use the Beta version of the software as it will be more compatible.

VCDS i try genuine 17.1.3 and latest beta - same thing.

I heard that maybe it is needed to make new empty label?

I do not know how to do this.

 

About this Launch X431 i do not know, i visited workshop and ask to try.

It`s connected and able to make Long Coding.

You could ask on Ross Techs forum. They are very good supporting their customers.

From the problems we had with MY16 I would wait a while before doing any coding to be sure it is fully supported by VCDS 

 

To be fair they don't often get to see the latest versions of the platform earlier than anyone else in the US and they obviously don't get to see Skodas. It takes a little time for them to test it.

 

As above really, try the beta if you are desperate and willing to take a bit of a risk, or look at the RossTech forum to see what is supported.
