Pretty sure the DQ381 is the 4 wheel drive version of the DQ380?

There was a substancial discussion on it a few months back, happy to be corrected but its the DQ381 far as I know.

ordered mid October, still no provisional build date allocated. :sleepy:

Hi all

first post but as I’m in the same boat I’d thought I’d share my position as well.

I ordered back in the first week of October and just been given unconfirmed build week of 16, so early April........ only three months after the original timescale when putting the order in.

tried skoda and the garage but all use the same excuse of factory sets the build week so feeling pretty frustrated and will be left with no car in 10 days time.

At this point in time even cancelling and putting a new order in I will likely be stuck without a car for  awhile or go for something in stock which in most cases is a rubbish deal compared to this one!!!!

so annoying!!!!

A message from dealer today. Gone from week 4 to 9 now. Annoying but hey ho.

Dealer still telling me March build. Very frustrating!

I dont think anyone has a clue re build weeks.

People who ordered later already have cars, some who ordered in November have build weeks, some who ordered early oct have nothing.

Utter shambles by skoda.

I've said exactly this in the Delivery Timescales thread I started.  I have bought many new cars from lots of different manufacturers but have never come across such sheer incompetence and downright fibbery before, ever.

I have also said in that thread that this will be the first and last car I order from Skoda.  I will not be treated like a mug and then reward you by giving you my business again.  That just aint gonna happen!

Have submitted a complaint to skoda about this - no sure it will do any good, but as my first experience of the brand, does make me question straying from the premium brands.

Ordering a car like this a new experience for me.

All my past cars have been in stock so to order like this is a new thing.

The reason I am prepared to wait is that I will eventually get quite an amazing car for a very reasonable price.

Thats what I keep telling myself to ease the long wait, still no BW!  Ordered early Oct.

This is why in general you get what you pay for in terms of service. It's a shame as the product is up there with the higher brands.

I had discussions with the Executive Office, after emailing the MD.  Achieved nothing.  As my sig says, 23 weeks exactly from order to collection for a 230 saloon.  Told 14 weeks at order and downhill all of the way from there...

As Jay says, it's such a shame as the car is great.  If only the customer service was at the same level!

Well, started my Skoda complaint last week week - with both the Dealer and Skoda. I've just had a call from Skoda and I still don't have a build week (although still unconfirmed at week 24). So far, the complaint hasn't made any difference in this case. It was very much an 'it is what it is' call - not surprising really. Apparently they're going to call me every Tuesday with updates. I've yet to hear from my actual dealer, so it will be interesting to see what they say. It's certainly going to be a waiting game.

(I ordered mid October).

I ordered my 245 hatch DSG on 29 Sept and just went onto the Skoda site and had a quick 'live chat'.

Car is due to be built next week.

In terms of delivery, they said: ''We aren't able to give a delivery date as there are so many factors and variations of transport. However, we usually say 8 weeks after the vehicle has been built.''

Iv been told expect the Car to be in the UK 4 weeks after build week.

Yep I took that 8 weeks statement with a pinch of salt. They're probably trying to under promise and over-deliver.

Mine was a 230 but I collected it within 2 weeks of build.  From nearly everything I have read on here, it seems that 10 days to mid 20's is the normal timescale.  I don't know where this 8 weeks quotation is coming from, unless it's another subtle push to cancel your order to save them some money!!

I'm happy to wait - got a good lease deal and hopefully I can just extend my current Audi A4 lease for a while until the 245 is ready.

Just spoke to 21st Century who did my lease - they are going to speak to skoda to see if there is going to be a charge to cancel.  If not i might well cancel this lease as it seems utterly pointless at present to be hanging about for a car that might be 3 months late.

I did this and swapped to a Golf R lease. Car is bw4 and is expected to me in early March. I had no fee to swap cars.

How much extra was the golf r?

I must admit, if I had had the option of the Golf R for an extra £30 I would have given it serious thought.  I can't blame you at all, Jay!

Thanks Peter. That was my thoughts exactly, I only started looking after my build week went from 4 to 12 on the vRS. Once I saw how close the costs were and how much quicker I can actually get the car it was a no brainer.
