Why thank you, sir (I think). First time anyone's ever said they have "done me quickly" :eek:

I've discovered the difference between 'Reply' and 'Post Reply' now, 'Reply' being the old 'Quote' option.

I've also had a play with the hybrid and threaded options and gone back to good old 'Linear', as it's what I'm used to. I suppose I'll use the other modes sometimes, but it's not *that* often you get threads within threads.

The standard smilies list has gone a bit AWOL. Good job I have got used to just typing the codes in.

And I'm with Alex - it's just a *tad* bright. A little more contrast would make it easier on the eye - sorry if this sounds picky but it's not meant to be!!

How much darker do you want it?

The colours (should be) as far as large text areas i.e. threads be within one shade of gray of the last board

Will check and yes, little cubes need doing but where would the fun be, more feedback, I thrive on good and bad stuff...

reputation, is just that, allows you to add to peoples rep if you like what they do or post...if they annoy us we can take away...(think it's like taking the heat of thread spamming, knowing who to trust etc )

Like I said - not picking. IIRC though, the user bar at the left of the post was not white - in this version it is - maybe that's why I'm thinking it's brighter. The Online/Offline indicator also seems to be lost (or I haven't found it yet).

It's like everything - just takes a bit of getting used to!

Howard , I still haven't quite worked out how you do that yet ...............but I doubt that I will bother with him as I don't expect him back here

Back on the positives the threaded view is a big improvement over the linear format you were stuck with before.

Wouldn't it be good if, when a new release like this comes out, instead of everyone going - "isn't this new widget great", and idiots like me going "what widget?" there was an announcement type thingy that said. "in the new release, you will find the following widgets ....". Dull and predictable, I know, but maybe might cut down on the cut and thrust of "what widget?", "look just here", "oh I've found it now", "you thick git!".....

That said, I know those responsible have been very busy getting the new release to market, but you could argue that half an hour spent writing up the new features wouldn't put the go-live date back by that much .....

(and yes - I'll be happy to do it - next time)
