Pipped me by 1 day! The crown is now yours .

I have also realised a few things are missing:angry:

Rain sensor – not fitted, manual

Tinted glass – not fitted, clear

Driver profile selection – not fitted

Auxiliary input socket – not fitted

Body colour side mouldings – not fitted

Not the best experience.

My car is a 1.0 DSG technology. Does anyone know if the above option are standard? It was shown on the web page when I ordered the car and I have a screen capture.

I've just tried speccing up a 1.0 DSG in basic Octavia S trim.  None of these items come up on the configuration page nor as options.  What trim level did you choose?  It may be best to get straight back on to your supplying dealer or else direct to Skoda Live Chat.  I hope you get sorted!

I have a 1.5tsi SE technology, it does have the rain sensor (I think that the lights have to be in auto mode for this to work), and has driver profile selection. No tinted glass or body coloured side mouldings.

I'm not sure what are meaning with the aux input socket.

If you have auto lights you also have auto wipers.

Thanks, I have spent quite a bit of time looking through all the settings and it seems like that I need to put the wiper at intermittent then let the car do the rest. I was confused as my previous car had auto written on the wiper stalk.

And adjust the sensitivity using the small switch on top of the wiper stalk as needed according to conditions - I find it can too often go to high speed when set sensitive and conversely not wipe enough when set too low so I often change the sensitivity.

If i'm not mistaken the driver profile is not available on 1.0 tsi and the lowest powered diesel?

SE Tech brochure (from the Simpson Skoda site): https://nd-mediagallery2-public-production.s3.amazonaws.com/5b2135192674970df89b2ff86a71a6c0/se_tech.pdf shows the following as standard. I've also compared these with the retail brochure.

  • tinted glass  (note that will be the lightly tinted not the privacy version) - standard on all models
  • body mouldings - standard on all models
  • rain sensor - only from SE-L upwards (notwithstanding its appearance on the SE Tech list)
  • Driver personalisation with 3 keys (it's the driving mode selection that's not on the 1.0) - standard from SE upwards

The aux input is not explicitly mentioned, but the configurator shows them under the heater controls.

I wonder if 'body coloured mouldings' just implies that all the plastic bits are painted rather than black.

Thanks, I will have a look at my glass. I thought they were supposed to be the privacy version.

I ordered mid October, finally have a confirmed build week of 13 (26th March). Just another few months to wait before it finally arrives - not sure why it takes up to two months to be delivered, but at least it's finally confirmed.

I would expect you to get your car by the back end of April at the latest.  Great news that you now have a locked build week.  Fingers crossed for a speedy delivery!

Ordered my 1.5 TSI SE-L on 13 December, collected yesterday - 93 days in total and it was at the dealer's for about 10 days prior to me collecting.

I've seen a few that were quicker but I'm pretty impressed with the speed, also had good service from the supplying dealer. I've seen the various posts on the forum about people being left with no update for weeks on end - I had an update most weeks without prompting.

Name and praise!  We normally talk about name and shame so it's nice to hear of a dealer who does their job properly.  If good dealers  get more business through word of mouth on the forum it might encourage the others to look again at their practices!

It was Autosales in Burntwood, Staffs.  I did the usual carwow/carfile quotes and they matched it.  A couple of years ago when I was sourcing a Rapid for my parents Autosales were less than helpful, stating in an email that a quote I had from another dealer via Carfile was basically pie in the sky and I was risking my parents' money by even considering it.  Suffice to say I ignored their advice and had exceptional service from Rainworth who supplied the Rapid.  I was expecting similar with the Octavia this time round but clearly things have changed and I was pleasantly surprised.

Good to know.  As you say, things must have changed there.  It's nice when it's for the better!!

Odd how the lead times vary.

Ordered our manual 1.5 TSi SE-L estate on 1st Feb.

Confirmed build week 10 (week commencing 5th March), expected delivery mid April.

roughly 70 days... we'll see.

Our original Yeti on a 62 plate took 6 months order to delivery!

Ordered early Jan. Last week of VRS orders.. Built week 11 now waiting to be loaded onto a ship. Dealer reckons 2 weeks till I get my paws on it. Seems like I’ve been very lucky...

Looks like you just got your order accepted before the shutters came down.  You've done well with getting it built so fast too!  This last two weeks will really drag .
