Is that your standard bonnet with holes cut in it,or is it an s2000 bonnet thats been painted white. Is it even possible to find a s2000 bonnet these days as they would have only been used on rally cars?

You can still buy them from Škoda direct that’s what I did :) if you look on page 14 there’s details there

As long as it’s a 6J you can’t go wrong. The fabia vrs will fit too bit the Ibiza one is around 15mm wider. Mines off an estate too.

Just found a Fabia Estate 2015 1.0 petrol axle assembly so thats a MK3, I'm a 2012 MK2!?. Am I in with a chance with that working do you know? Thanks

Not sure haven’t seen it done and it’s based on a different platform. Easier to go with tried and tested stuff that you  know fits unless you want to be the first to try.

I don't think mk3s are very compatible with a mk2. Mk1 and mk2 have a lot more compatability.

Really happy with how the car is now pretty much perfect to me now. Not sure what to do next with it so think its time to just enjoy it for a while and have fun with it before deciding on the next stage of it.

Afternoon mate was thinking of a way to make your car better than it already is and think running a similar set up to me is the best way to maximise the meth injection and make the top speed faster and get the most out of the motor  , basically why not run a greddy or iBoost boost controller , then you can have your low boost setting (car on standard injectors no need for meth) and a high boost setting (boost mode with meth)

that way you can get the best of both worlds on one map the map can just be programmed on the same duration and you are manually manipulating the boost and adding octane through the meth as the ecu with the lambda sensor will realise that it is getting fuel from somewhere other than the diesel injectors and adjust accordingly? If you think this is a stupid idea fair enough but that way you can fit a failsafe with a relay where if the meth throws a fault code it cuts the boost to wastegate pressure

It’s controlled both on a switch and by boost already. Turn on the switch and it still won’t inject till it reaches a certain boost pressure.

It’s not used as a fuel in diesels but to lower EGTs and charge temps.

I’m sure the engine will burn the meth and it ups the octane doesn’t it ?  , mine is controlled via a switch and by boost pressure aswell I’m saying the boost controller can alter the boost pressure so you can run a more aggressive map with more boost  while on meth , what’s the point in having water meth if the car runs the exact same with or without it , in my opinion it’s a pointless add on if it’s not mapped in?

been watching these on youtube and I watched that before and it's an amazing achievement and to see the development

Diesel doesn’t use octane so it doesn’t increase it also it’s a water mix not straight meth like you would use on a petrol. Meth on a petrol is used as fuel as the fuel system would be at its limits and I just run the same map all the time and the meth gains around 20-30bhp

Crail tomorrow for the fast ford day hopefully planning to upset some st owners.

So day out a crail on sunday first time the car been drag racing since the new engine has been fitted. No real aims as i knew i'd have to re learn how to launch the car. Managed 13 runs all day with the fastest being 14.043 @ 110.3mph , fastest speed was 111.4mph so the car does not hang aroung.  Had a few runs at 14.0 so seem to be a glass barrier for me as i couldn't break it. Traction was the biggest issue, car didn't get any traction till 3rd then it just seemed to take off as you can see in the videos

Yeah i've seen that, interesting build using the kodiaq vRS engine.

Looked over the data comparing the 1.6 with the cr170 turbo and the new engine.

50327659006_148c32ce66_b.jpg

1st gear the 1.6 is quicker due to the amount of wheelspin the 2.0 has

Into 2nd and they are pretty even again with the 2.0 struggling with wheelspin although the 1.6 had no wheelspin although the gearchange on the 2.0 happens 10mph later due to it reving to 5400rpm whereas the 1.6 was changing just over 4000rpm then it gets into 3rd and just buggers off.

Really need to work out how to control the wheelspin in 2nd to help it get going better.

Is it possible to setup boost by gear on one of these cars? Running less boost in 1st and second might help with wheelspin.

Really 4wd is next option for better traction (if it's even possible in the fabia shell) but might undo a host of other upgrades only just done. Sure I saw a post on here years ago where it was being attempted in a Skoda citigo??

Yea you can get a greddy Profec OLED and get the map adapter which has boost by gear

No it won’t as I don’t have a wastegate to control and I make more boost than the sensor in that can read.

Something that I might speak to darkside about or maybe it just needs a driver mod

Darkside have that citigo now
