New pair of Pilot Sport 4 tyres for the front. These only last 11.5k insides were gone then going from the inside to the outside there was a spread of 3mm,3.5mm to 4mm on the outside. Thankfully i get them for £77 a tyre 🥴

Is it common? it never did this on the contis?

My last pair of tyres did the same thing. Just ate through the inner edge. I’ve raised the front now though which has helped

Took a trip down to Kames for a test day before the year was out. Never did the full sprint track ago and fancy doing more sprints next year.

First Run getting a feel of it and see where the braking points and what gears i would use

Second Run

Third run took my sister out on this one although she didn't do a good job trying to keep herself in the seat.

4th Run moved the camera facing forward outside to give an idea of how much the tyre moves and flexes.

5th Run and last one all was going well then on the last run down i dropped the drivers side rear on the grass and managed to catch it then lost it the other way.

Took a run up to Crail today as it was the first day of the year. My friend took his caddy van up and let me take it for a few runs down the strip for helping him find the right parts to take it to 180bhp. Clutch is super light compared to the fabia which i wasnt keen on and wind didnt help things.

49544650276_7e0eba63e0_c.jpg

Jumped into the fabia afterwards, battling a 35mph headwind meant the times were down and the lights and timing gear wasnt working due to the wind blowing the sensors over but had the vbox to get times.

Is this from the phone being connected to the vbox or a separate app?

So little update so the world has ground to a halt.

The Skoda Motorsport package that came had a S2000 Evo 2/3 bonnet in it. Wanted one for a while and struggled to find one second hand so had to go new from skoda direct who were great to deal with.

Plan was to get the bonnet pin holes filled in and use the normal catch

49700855667_b2fc4610a4_c.jpg

Got a text from my mate that works at the bodyshop to bring my car down as they wanted to check something out. Took the car down and we noticed that were the bonnet catch is on the normal bonnet it was spot welded so had been reinforced behind it where as the rally bonnet is all cut out to make it lighter and the secondary catch comes into one of the vents. So now we are having to cut pins holes back in and fit bonnet mines but cut a catch so we can still use the primary catch.

Also been in talks with Darkside Developments to take the car to the next stage and we've settled on the next load of upgrades that will get done.

Those will be

Custom made Tubular Manifold

GTD1752VRK Turbo from a BMW

+50 Custom Race Injectors

Snow Performance Stage 1 water/meth injection

Performance Camshafts

Upgraded Valve Springs

ARP Rod Bolts

Upgraded Headstuds

Powergate for switchable maps

Will also need to look at a new intake aswell to help it breath better but thats something darkside will make when they have the car.

curious to see the custom intake, maybe something I could do on my 1.2 tsi 👀

I’ve seen some in turkey make over 300. I’m hoping for 230-240 on a super safe daily track map and 260 on a drag map.

hi mate just curios as to how much that evo kit cost from skoda motorsport ?
