You should do a stint as an MP in the same way you're chosen for jury duty.

Having had any political ambition before should rule you out.

I've said exactly the same in the past

Couldn't agree more. Worthy politicians, regardless of party, in Westminster is at an all time low. This is what happens when people for style over substance and sound bites over facts.

Hmmmm. You mean like what the Leave Campaign was about?

You are too generous. It was more like she was hung, drawn and quartered. Mair’s style is cold and calculating unlike so many of his peers. Brilliant.

Not hard really. She's not very bright and has no grasp of her portfolio.

No Lee, plenty of lies on both sides but anyone with an ounce of intelligence can find out the facts for themselves.

Point me to some lies that Remain made.
Now point me to facts that Leave made.
It's all gone tits up. Fact.

Lee, I voted out because I didn't want to be a part of a federal Europe under the control of a corrupt political elite. Junckers speech confirmed everything we were told would never happen.

BTW wrong thread for the EU debate

Freedom of the press is all well and good, but when you see a list like that Lee (http://blogs.ec.europa.eu/ECintheUK/euromyths-a-z-index/)  FFS, that is just unrelentling lie after lie. Murdock wanted Brexit, lied for years about the EU, paid for Brexit, and people said OK like the sheeple they are

How come this all ended up in the next PM thread anyway?

Oh I see - loads of:

By twonk he means I made a statement on how the EU works in regards to type approval for cars to be sold within the EU. It didn't fit his argument so he blocked me and went on to post silly picture instead . Very grown up

Tory MPs are "perfectly within their rights" to urge Theresa May to quit, a former party chairman has told the BBC.

Grant Shapps has admitted being one of the leaders of an attempt to persuade Mrs May to call a leadership election, and said up to 30 MPs support the move.

Maybe they were just waiting for the conference to be over.

Come on BOJO, lets see some more silliness from you - he's like a hoorah henry Trump, nice but dim

At the Conservatives’ conference, Mrs May said: ‘It’s when tested the most that we reach deep within ourselves and find that our capacity to rise to the challenge before us may well be limitless.’

And in The West Wing clip, Barlet said: ‘Every time we think we’ve measured our capacity to meet a challenge, we look up and we’re reminded that that capacity may well be limitless.’

Her script writers were doing a good job of covering up where they got the speech from. Using a thesaurus they swapped words out here and there,  until they just got bored and cut and paste at the end.

She may not do the job itself, but she hires the worst people. The election planners, the ministers (bojo ffs!) and now script writers - she is useless and surrounds herself with uselessness.

Next up - a bust budget (can they really keep blaming Labour for that - its wearing very thin).

May will be gone by the budget if Shaps has his way.

Hope so, but there is nothing that ex-public schoolboys love more than being given a stern ticking off by matron

(this is why the chief whip isn't a woman - there would be a massive queue outside her office all day)

Just a small point,

Queen Elizabeth II is the Head of State the 92 year old lady un-elected.

Sorry, mate- There is no QUEEN Elizabeth II , unless you look at a Cunard liner. For monarchy- QE1 was an Queen of England BEFORE the Union of the crowns. SO present Queen is FIRST Queen of that name in the UNITED KINGDOM( that which covers Scotland & England).

Bit PEDANTIC. BUT TRUE.

Like a Fabia, Escort, Land Rover etc  the first Queen Elizabeth  will just have been Queen Elizabeth, it is only when a 2nd model comes along and is called the Fabia Mk2 /Land Rover Series 2 that the Original gets called a Mk1 / Series or Series 1.

Surely not this one.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruth_Davidson

Yet another  PR / Media person desperate to be a politician. If at first you fail, try try and try again. Get your foot in the door though.

I must see what the odds are on Ruth Davidson MSP not being leader of the Conservative & Unionist party, and not the Prime Minister.

Best thing that opposition parties could pray for is her becoming the Leader because she really is a total waste of space and all about Ruth and who cares nothing about the population other than those she can get voting to keep her on the Gravy Train / in a job as a politician.
