Yeti FL with Amundsen MIB needed

Featured Replies

I am looking for somebody who has / drives Yeti FL MY16/MY17, factory equipped with Amundsen MIB infotainment unit, having all Amundsen features enabled (SmartLink, Voice Control, Bluetooth, maps). If you have / drive such a car pls contact me on PM.

Why only by PM?
Surely if it is relevant to members then it should be broadcast here?

What’s MIB?  (Men In Black) :D

What is it you want to know? I've got a FL Yeti with the Amundsen and Smartlink enabled. That being said, I only picked it up yesterday so I'm still finding my way around.

What is PM?

update

Just seen your request, I have Amundsen MIB2 which has Smartlink and other stuff.

Had to do my own map update after collecting car. It is 1 yr old with 1,800 miles on the clock.  The map was 2016 - 2017 so out of date I asked the garage to update it but they  "forgot"

Now have managed to set up Safety cameras and other POI's, it is not documented in the manual.

How do you set up safety cameras? Any way to get the unit to display real road speed like the TomTom does which is much more accurate than the speedo?

Well I can do the safety cams, there are no audible warnings or speed related info, your real speed will be on your speedo.

So unless you use smartlink with your Android or iPhone navigation app you dont get  real time speed info.

You could try using a OBD11 dongle and Torque app that will display on a tablet or smartphone.

I used an app on the phone to determine true speed and have memorised the km/h for the speed limits, eg 118km/hr is a true 70mph, 101km/hr is a true 60mph, 85km/hr is a true 50mph etc.

Just miss the Tomtom reminder of speed cameras ahead, even though I don't speed, as easy to slightly go over at times

Speed cameras are available on eBay that work on I believe post 05/2015 Amundsens.
Being sold as for VW units but several on here have installed them I think as POIs and they work.

Hi Kenfowler3966, which phone app do you use for speed, what is it's accuracy?

Thanks.

Thanks.

Its an Iphone app called speedometer.

Seems to be exact as uses sattelites, but clearly is only spot on when car is travelling on the flat, as speed given is horizontal speed.

Does a load of other stuff as well such as logging the journey, but I havent really used that.

Info much appreciated. I will need to check if there is an android version though.
