By rights, none of these belong in this discussion as they are all north of £40k, let alone sub 30K

Very true. Apologies.

Model Y is too much I think for many. Even enyaq/id4 is in the expensive realm for most.

When they're sub £13k, I'll be interested enough to read it.  Never spent more than £13k on a brand new car yet.   Sub 30k is just not relevant to average people in a country where the mean

Loads of threads already here to cover most eventualities or interests re EV's.

Oddly still no 30k to 40k one...

These at the crazy £32,000 plus even after the £3,000 grant are getting flogged for asking prices of £25,000 now.

You are sitting on the batteries as they are under the seat and you are still sitting low in the front.

Fuel flap is not locked and people open it when parked, maybe to see if it is an electric car.

Vauxhall & Vauxhall Dealers must be getting desperate to shift e-Corsa's they have in stock registered or not registered.

There are 118 advertised on Autotrader and some of the Elite Nav's with delivery / PDI miles are at £25,000, the SE Navs less than that.

Those wheels on the Blue car just shows the rusty discs/ hubs and not very nice calipers that get rusty too, & those wheels are not aero for an e-Corsa.

The Sports Pedals are a waste of time if they are going to be like the slippy ones on a e-208 or as already on 1.2 petrol automatic Premium Nav cars.

Trim differences and wheels are so so, but what the cars need are tyres better than Michelin Primacy 4, maybe Michelin CrossClimates would suit many driving them in the UK.

Wind Deflectors and mud flaps as standard fit from a Dealership would be 'simply clever'.

A common issue with cars is also one with the Corsa.  The mirrors fold in as you lock the car.  The mirrors then freeze closed and sound like they will snap as you open the car in freezing conditions, not even that much below freezing but where there has been rain about before the freeze or not even rain.   Need to be able to get the mirrors not to freeze.  Then the same with the EV charging port flap.  Frozen closed even though prepared for winter.   Do PSA not test cars for UK winters and not just mainland continental Europe or places with different winters which might be more severe but dry & cold.

EDIT,

Got in.  Block mirrors folding.  Larry.

So good to see an enthusiast that can review, give details and film the cars perfectly.

I had my car out on some pretty icy roads last night and then they flooded this morning and then in bits just slushy snow.

No way would i have been getting on well on the standard tyres and not the winters.

What is really good is how an EV deals with driving through quite deep water, just as long as not too deep.

If he studied figures and thought before recording he would have seen that both the e-208 and e-Corsa 8.1 second times are 0-62, both are given 7.6 seconds with 0-60.

As it is either can better those times, as can a VW e-Up better the VW times.

Then as for unladen and laden weights, maybe Matt should take them to a Public Weigh bridge sometime and find the actual truth on the various cars weights.

He needs to stop saying BHP / HP when the figures are actually in  PS, or vice versa.

PS

If the Police Officer knows what they are doing which is driving without due care and attention basically then surely an official warning is in order.

What a place to conk out!

Awesome result for the Renault Zoe, the only one I would consider from this batch of cars.  Best value and by far best range.

240 miles or even 250 plus achievable in more normal conditions ie 15 to 25 C.

It just need some styling to make it a bit less Noddy like I reckon.

Lowered (25/30 mm) and stiffer suspension.

Awesome how he teleports from vehicle to vehicle.

For the price point of the cars there a MG5 EV (Estate) really needs to be in the mix.   (Under £25,000)

People actually driving cars as they do use them day or night giving their experiences and getting the figures / range available rather than just guessing what is available is dead handy.

Indeed the MG5 is rapidly becoming a contender and already some healthy discounts meaning getting the price down to just over £20k for the base model.

He did say in the 6 way shoot out the Renault was 55 kWh which I think is incorrect as it is 52 but either way it did get kind of close to the upper 4 miles per kWh which I gather is the ultimate measure and it is the heaviest, not sure about their relative Cd aero drag Coefficients.

^^^ Love it, the chunky monkey!

Who do Renault think they are, VW?   Teasing with images years ahead of ever actually producing and selling them!

PS

The more i look the more that is the best looking EV i have ever seen, even more so than the Concept Honda-e's.

Obviously the sills will just never be like that.... Unless they retract in as the doors are opened...

More about leasing than the car I think. The leasing part sounds great until they start mentioning salary sacrifice. Most of us don't get that option, so their figures are hopelessly optimistic. They also don't mention BIK rates will rise over the course of the lease, so the costs increase. Don't get me wrong, salary sacrifice is a great deal if you can get it, but most firms do not offer it.

They just need to do it.

But really they are nippy enough now, but more range would be a good thing.

Nearly 4 years back.

A rear passenger door to suit RHD cars would be a good idea.

MINI already did ones on the 'Wrong side' in the past, but actually they were handy for drivers putting stuff in behind their seat.
