Skoda Fabia Mk2 Steering Wheel Upgrade

Featured Replies

Im wondering if its possible to change the steering wheel of my Fabia Monte Carlo MK2, non SWC, old green speedometer, to a new MK3 Fabia steering wheel with SWC (media buttons)

Sorry about my English, is not my native language.

I believe later MK2's come with the bottom steering wheel so it should fit, don't know about the media buttons.

You will need to find out if the wheel hole is the same diameter/spline as the newer version as they do occasionally change these. You will then not have any media functions unless you are able to wire up and program them, which is unlikely unless you upgrade what works from these controls. You might find planking covers somewhere, though in order to take off the new wheel media switches and make it link "Normal". Then you will have to worry about the actual air-bag and its functionality! Potentially a lot of work just to look nicer!

Do a search on BRISKODA.

Several threads over the years on exactly what to do and which newer Mk2 wheel to fit instead of the older Mk2 wheel.

Maybe in Fabia Guides as well.

As to the Mk3 on a Mk2, no idea on that.

Alao thinking of upgrading the speakers if anyone has experience ?
