Supermarket "fusion" food

I know some Confusion food,

ASDA Block Haddock @ £12 a kilo tastes just like Whiting Block @ £11 a kilo often,

probably because no matter how often told they put the wrong ticket next to the fish on the ice and they sell you the wrong fish over charging customers.

Not that easy to tell them apart to be honest, but still they are ripping off customers.

Harry Ramsden Battered Haddock @ Harry Ramsden @ the Three Bridges South Queensferry.

Not sure what that is, tastes not much like fresh Special Recipe Battered Haddock as sold elsewhere even other Harry Ramsden.

Maybe they buy it from ASDA.

Well, they can get away with that gish thing because most people can barely tell the difference. Most battered/crumbed cod is usually collie iirc...

It's not really fusion but Co-op now do a cheeseburger flavour pizza.

It tastes just like a Big Mac :tongueout: - awesome!

Anyone got any other recommendations?

Does Doner pizza count? If you fold it in half its like a kebab

My favourite years ago was donner meat with salad including pickled chillies in what we call locally "batch" - anywhere else the name can vary from a large bread roll to other things. It's like a big mac replacing the burger with donner meat and salad. ( goes off to drool, as there's now too much fat in the meat)

If you surname was ' Kebab " would you call your daughter Donna  or Shish.

I had a Doner kebab on Friday evening. It was delicious and, this will disgust most and delight a few, there was enough meat left over for a toasted doner sandwich for Saturday breakfast. :D

I used to watch a workmate have his supper in the canteen (we worked nights) his favourite, egg and chips with gravy.  I just couldn't look anymore when he broke the egg yolk into the gravy and dipped his bread.:o

Another had beans on toast, sprayed liberally with tomato ketchup and salad cream, yuk!

@BJM - I've never seen a chippie doing a haggis pizza crunch, no. The last time I was in a chippie/pizzeria that could have I suspect the pizza chef would have been after you with his cleaver had you asked!

IMO a Blaggis is the greatest invention since French Toast or French Fries.

Half haggis half black pudding deep fried in batter.

Blaggis Burgers are also available.

Amazing! Gotta try one next time I'm in Scotland.

Goddam it, in all the time ive spent in Scotland, many weekends in Glasgow and 2 years in the Mid North (Aberdeen). Even a couple of long weekend training sessions in Dundee..

Never heard of a Blaggis.

Going to have to try and figure that out on the next trip.

Dear lord,

41 years in Gods country and I've never heard of a blaggis.

Sounds epic.
