Our new (to us) 07 has suffered a little facial disfigurement in that the NS front wing / bumper / headlamp has taken a knock, meaning I need to replace the wing, probably the bumper and possibly the headlamp if I can't glue the adjuster back on.

 

I bought a Haynes which helps with removing the bumper but says b. all about the wing :(

 

From the previous owner I understand the wing is held on by several bolts and mastic where it meets the A pillar, so I'm assuming it's wheel off, arch liner out, unbolt the bolts and separate the mastic (a piece of wire used like a cheese cutter has been suggested).

 

Does this sound about right?

 

Any helpful hints / photos out there (pretty please)?

 

Also, are all Octy 2 front wings the same?

I will be watching this thread with interest as I have a replacement ns front wing sat in my garage ready to fit to my pre-fl when I can find the time

 

you will also need a heat gun to heat the areas no2 in the link below before using the cheese wire
