Graeme: If you can get your car on the roof of that hanger, it will be a bit like a beacon for me, won't it! :D

[nice thought] - just realised I'm going to get to see the yellow monster a couple of weeks earlier than Jabba.

OOOO ERRR missus! :censored:

 and I didn't read the slightest bit of double entendre into that statement... :D

(but then I should know you lot better!)

Lift sharing lady will not be the guest, but I was going to be arranging something with monsieur Stimps, but I've chosen to drive the whole way there & back in one day. I may bring a mate along or two. :D

Might be his mechanic mate. 'Custom' de-cats and auto-locking!

Steve,

Is this a Skoda/Briskoda only meet or are other sites welcome ie Seat Enthusiasts as they have invited us to theirs in the past.

Des

Hello Stimps, are you there.

I hate to inject a (small) note of respect, but this IS The Imperial War Museum we'll be visiting, not McDonald's car park ;) The thought of some loon in a tricked-up Ibiza doing burn-outs in the car-park springs to mind ;)

Well if i was bothered who saw it, i wouldn't have posted it, would i ??

Or do we have to censor ourselves now in case some poor sensitive soul takes offence?

The simple fact is, it started off being a Briskoda meet (which means members of Briskoda, not JUST Skoda drivers), but like everything else these days, it seems "Bigger is better" is the way its going. Its not always necessarily the case though, is it ?

Anyone else care to comment?, cos so far, the silence is deafening ;)

Looks like this is going to turn out to be SOME meet!

btw glad you can make it Jason, are you ok with directions though? :D

i can bring my 1552 with me if wanted and for those who want things re-programming would you either post on here or pm me so i can bring the neccesary manuals. cheers big k.

big k,

I would expect a very long line of people wanting various things done! Wouldnt mind the auto door lock and the extra dash display features adding.

what vehicle ? and what extra dash features ?

Fabia comfort tdi...

Is it possible to get the washer level warning (would be very useful) and door open warnings etc.

This gives me such a warm feeling inside. ;)

Forget I mentioned it. ;)

door warnings shouldn't be a problem but s/wash level only comes with vehicles with 5ltr bottles and h/light washers i'm afraid.

Since picking up on this thread I've had the impression that it is a 'get to know you' meet rather than a Skoda meet. Does that make sense? Personally I find that quite appealing as I've never attended a Briskoda event and I'm looking forward to putting faces to names. So far everyone seems to have realised that we are meeting at the Imperial War Museum and not McDonalds car park. If I thought it was going to be handbrake turns, lots of bass and standing starts I wouldn't be coming and neither would a few others I'm sure.

Where does that leave the SEAT owners? I'd say they are more than welcome but I doubt they would be too interested in meeting LadyLoki's kids or seeing whether Denis really has a handlebar mustache.

Two more points.

1) Des is one of the people I want to meet.

2) I prefer Burger King anyway.

Ok that would be great big k (put me down for the door warnings and the auto lock)

dont want to put you to any trouble mind!

many thanks.

Well in that case, in the interests of harmony & discord, and since i clearly am in the wrong here, i'll drop out.

Have a nice day peeps, i'll have a lie-in instead. :)

Personally, I decided to come to this meet to hang out with some familiar people and some unfamiliar people - plus the journey ain't too bad either. Also the idea of visiting an air museum seems weirdly appealing to me, compared to what I could be doing on a Sunday.

And as for bangin' bass, if Denis wishes to bring along the CD, I'll gladly put the Dambuster's theme through my system at maximum volume! :speaker:

and i was looking foward to meeting my dispute partner :D and btw i would too prefer it to be briskodians (as it's my first meet) and am i actually agreeing with geoff on something :eyecrazy:
