Can anyone help me find a VIN number from using only the car registration plate ?

Your local friendly Skoda dealer should be able to help but they are likely to want a good reason for why you can't just check on the vehicle yourself.  Labels at the bottom of the windscreen, inside the spare wheel well and sometimes on the shock absorber bell housing at the back of the engine bay. 

i dont own the car anymore and its in regard to the emissons scandal claim, so i can't go look at the car i'm afraid, 

I'd try a dealer or contact the person you sold it to.

 

Some car checker websites/numbers might provide the vin for a price.

Someone that bought and owned a car and sold it and lost nothing can not get compensation, 

then someone that bought it and maybe thinks they lost out because of Dieselgate, 

then maybe the person with it now that has a Car with 'The Fix' that is a bucket of crap.

 

IMO It is really weird who greedy people can be.

Just like I might have had PPI insurance from a bank or credit card, I might once have owned a Dieselgate VAG vehicle, I think I might have done but the details arent clear, I have a terrible memory after contracting Malaria.

 

To be on the safe side I will put a claim in anyway with one of these nice solicitors, they gave me a big bung for PPI insurance from companies that I still cant remember and its really not something that I would have ever bought
