Got my MY19 245 vRS DSG delivered brand new Tuesday, now covered 245 miles - it's not used for commuting so most miles done this weekend. We had a ton of rain starting Friday evening in the south of England continued into torrential rain Sat. Took the car on a trip with the family across country lanes today for the Mrs to go somewhere. The car got absolutely s**ted up given the state of the roads post heavy rain, lots of standing water, mud leaves etc. but took it all in its stride. Got home and I just couldn't leave it like that but nor could I be bothered to clean it myself. So local decent hand car wash to the rescue. Took some pics as I stopped for a coffee just before the F1 started.

Looking good, how come your 245 has 18inch wheels and chrome exhaust tips ?

His is the new MY19 vRS, which now has 245PS as standard, rather than the 'vRS 245' released in 2017.

Because it's the new 'standard' production 2019 vRS with the WLTP emissions compliant 245 engine, VAQ diff, std black pack and twin exhausts (still). MY18 245 vRS are special editions.

Basically it's a MY18 230 with the extra stuff I mentioned standard it would just take wheels and exhaust tips to fool almost everyone else it wasn't the same as yours. I have by choice (and not wanting to wait 6 months) limited options on mine as it belongs to Skoda (vwfs) finance and will continue to until I return it in 2 years.

Wheels cleaned with Muc-Off and a Karcher!

Car cleaned and waxed with Autoglym products.

Ceramic coated last week. Needs a wash again now, I hate this time of year!

After a polish with Angel wax redemption, waxed with Angel wax enigma and wheels coated in Gtechniq C5

What mods have you done to the engine 

DTUK CRD3+, 034 dogbone insert, FMS stainless twin exhaust, Eberspacher Active Sound, i dont want to do any more as its a 100+ mile a day daily and its an oil burner.

Got round to giving my 2016 VRs a good clean last weekend. Used Auto Finesse Iron Out before washing, then Meguires Ultimate Compound, Ultimate Polish and  finished off with Ultimate Wax. Very happy with the result
