I really can not wait for Skoda to hurry up and get there hybrid powertrain going already. I'm hoping the grab a Scala hybrid when it's materializes but it seems like the Octavia and superb  are the only ones getting them in the near future.

I don't like the looks of caravan, but thease are only renders.

That Estate looks like just a 5-door hatch. Where is gone the traditional roominess? Hmmm...

On the other side, I like the return to single-lens headlights. I think the III was the best looking Oct while the IIIrestyle is the worst looking one, with those goofy split lights.

I read in the related article that it'll still "sport" the 1.0 engine. Hmmm... Don't like the idea. These little new wonderboys look fantastic – on the paper – but I strongly suspect their economy is just on homologation cycle. My son replaced his old Yaris II 1.8 133HP with a brand new Fiesta 1.0 100HP. The car is quite fun but he says that on real-world, everyday usage, it drinks fuel as much as the old Yaris big motor.

Although nothing but sketches has been officially released from Skoda, what do you think about their coming concept car being called "Concept iV"? As in, I don't know... Octavia IV?

This is how the official sketch looks like:

It's based on the Modular Electric Drive Kit (MEB)

It's described /by Skoda) as a 4-dour crossover coupé. I've read the word SUV in many articles, but not in Skodas press release.

And besides, an electric SUV Coupé, what about the Vision E?

Previous concepts have been named with a simple letter (D, X, E, S...) up until the recent concept RS wich then became ther Scala. Do you think the name iV has any significance in regards to the Octavia IV, or is it just Skodas take on the VW name for their line of electric cars, iV?

Clarification

I was thinking of changing to a Mk3 facelift but I think I'll wait for the  Mk4, especially if the vRS is going up to 280 bhp!

That would be real VRS with 4x4,280 or 300ps if they improve ride quality and sound insulation.
