Brake balance ?

Featured Replies

Can the front/rear brake balance be adjusted on the MY17 vRS245.

My rears are taking a lotta wear & have started lipping the rear discs, also started grouncing sounds after prolonged high speed braking. Fronts seem fine although, they were replaced under warranty after 4-1/2k miles, car is now just shy of 16k miles.

I know you can change a lot of stuff via ODB eleven and the like but I'd be surprised if messing around with the brake balance would be one of them. Critical stuff like that is probably best left to professional racing teams.

;) Farnborough - much like Le Mans, only with more potholes and gormless pedestrians.

Work in Wokingham, only use the A331 in Farnborough

^^^ Love it, prolonged high speed braking on those quick dashes and emergency journeys to work.  Empty roads loads of roundabouts no lifting off and dropping gears..

Like this 2018 COTY Video, amazing how UK NSL's look so quick when videoed.

Due to some married members possibly living in Wokingham, I can't comment on what/whom Postie's "come in"

I think with electronic brake force distribution, ebd or ebv, mba, whatever they call it, there is no load sensing valve. The car just uses the abs to stop the wheels locking and varies the pressure as it sees fit.

The stability system ESP  brakes individual wheels to improve handling, so I guess the brakes can be fairly well used.

Ive noticed on mine, not a vRS,  the rear discs are getting a bit of a lip while the fronts are like new, it’s done about 45k miles.
