Don't worry guys, a mod who is on your side keeps flashing warning points at me.

I can't say any more, I'm a black guy and the mod, I'm guessing, has a issue with that.

You'll find, and others on within this thread will back this up, that all moderation is done impartially and within the Site Rules. Those rules are the same ones that every user signs up to when they join Briskoda.

The only issue that Staff have is with people who are disrespectful to their fellow users. I'm also absolutely sure that you are not representative of most users and are  certainly unique amongst black men.

Behave.   There are those here who will tell you they get 70mpg and tyres that last 60,000 miles.   My real world experience in a VRS 184bhp diesel was 16k out of a set of front ty

This exactly.   Anyone else on here who claims otherwise is lying.   And those who claim higher figures out of a 230/245bhp petrol are even worse.   I know that some of t

Currently averaging around 44mpg on daily commute. Trip says I can make 530 on a tank.

I don't trash the right pedal. The roads are free-flowing and slightly hilly. When I climb, I drop a couple mpg quite easily. Coasting in eco usually pulls it back up.

It's all about driving style and the roads. If you've got a decent downhill for 2 miles, and then a gentle uphill for 10 miles, of course your figures are going to look good. Doesn't mean they're any less legit

No, he had an issue with you circumventing the swear filter, it’s as simple as that.

Your colour, race, sexuality or anything else that you wish to dream up doesn’t come into it.

Break the rules and you ‘win prizes’ win enough and you get an enforced holiday away from Briskoda.

Back on topic current tank 5 commutes 135 miles 70 roundabouts (yes 70) and range 330 miles left. 465 miles would be 42.27mpg if I can keep the wife out of my car (unlikely).:inlove:

On Friday i managed 61mpg!!! Driving mostly backroads home and in eco mode, plenty of rolling down hills and tapping on the brake slightly.

Driving like a granny is no craic though.

Commute 180 miles a day ....

Usual commute is about 40mpg, thats on the M25.  I have had it as high as 49mpg, but lowest its been is 38.5mpg which is pretty decent.

Thought I had a long commute!

I used to have, apparently, the ideal commute of 50 miles (return) on rural roads through the Peak District. Just enough to relax and prepare mentally for my day. And vice versa.

I'd a PDi Mk2 Octavia, with sports suspension . Not a VRs sorry.50mpg typically overall.

I have managed to improve my mpg now that I am using the car on a longer commute. Hills, motorway, traffic queues, have been giving me closer to 40 mpg, about 435 to the tank.  I was hoping to squeeze a bit more out of this but haven't managed it yet.  Driving normally as well, not sticking to 57mph etc!

Since new I've had between 40-42mpg in my TDI, I just look at the since refuel on the maxidot towards the end of a full tank.

Got up into the high 50s last summer when we drove up to Scotland but apart from that it's low-end 40s.

Which keeps keeps me happy since I upgraded from an '11 plate Ibiza 1.4 which got similar mpg, now I have a hell of a lot more power and the same frugality which is nice. £30 road tax too B)

I do a daily 60 mile commute, on trunk roads (no dualled sections) and mostly local short trips at the weekends in my TDI vRS. I average in the region of 44 - 48mpg (from the maxidot) depending on driving style. I'm happy with the balance of performance and mpg, my last car was petrol and I used to spend the whole week looking at my fuel gauge!

Track day could be as low as mine at 10.6mpg.:giggle:

Bit late to respond but was on my first track day today.

I "beat" your score  9,95 first stint, 10.3 to 10.7 on the other 3.

So much fun was a long time since I had.
