Ahh ok, Thankyou ! Would this need coding ? If so, is there anywhere you know of other than a lookers that do it ! They're extortionate

If all you're swapping is the screen for a compatible one then there is no coding needed.

I can fit a new touchscreen to your display panel if that's all the issue is.

Hi rustynuts. I've managed to get a display, I just wondered if it needed coding. My radio is working, it's just a new screen. I'm not sure if it needs coding to work or whether I can just plug and play as it were ?

Just wasnt working one day. No screen, just completely blank. Brought it to skoda in November. They diagnosed it  said it needed a complete new unit at £1000 cost. Too expensive so i put it off over xmas, rang skoda back up to see if I could get a diagnostic report from the last time. The manager told me they didn't k ow what was up with it. So then he told me to go to an audio place who and I quote ... have more chance of fixing it as we dont know how to. Been in there 3 weeks, all theyve said is, its the screen, the radios fine and we cant fix it . Really just given up at this point !

Could well be the PCB then I guess, but possibly the screen itself. It's very likely that the dealers just don't get into repairing or even diagnosing the fault and just throw a new display at it, but the repair shop should be giving you a better idea than "it doesn't work".

I think your bang on. The term the repair shop used was, the components weve put in haven't fixed it. I had to wait near on 3 weeks because the components came from Belgium. Must of walked for them
