Retrofitting Amundsen RNS315 - what's needed?

Featured Replies

Thanks for the reply’s I will find out when the mic arrives, still having problems finding a can bus adapter if any knows where 👍

I assume this is for you Fabia? Just wanted to check as we're in the Yeti section.

In which case, I'd probably ask a dealer as the proper Skoda adaptors seem quite rare. I think the part number is 5J0 035 751?

Hi just had this reply of audiotechdirect does any one know if this is the case, I was looking for a ça bus adapter?

What did you actually ask as they seem to be discussing amplifiers?

This is what I sent.

Hi im trying to fit a CANBUS 2.0 headunit the skoda Amundsen+ in a 2007 mk2 Fabia 1.4 TDI which i believe is CANBUS 1.6

Is it possible i need an adapter which needs to be wired between the car and the headunit allowing them to talk to each other.
Does this unit do that or do you have one that does.
Regards Danny

We have Amundsen + in our 2007 Roomster Scout, it works fine - the screen reacts to the light switch, the satnav works correctly.

Only downside is having to switch it back on every 30 mins ... and that is a small inconvenience against an £80 relay?

I have a mic and a gps antenna coming so I will find out when they arrive, don’t understand what you mean by it reacts to your lights.

Could be it goes into darker night mode when lights are on?

Turn your lights on, the screen goes dark automatically - so although the Roomie isn't can 2.0, there is some communication

I don’t drive in the dark 🤣
