Reverse sensors

Featured Replies

Hi, hope I can get some help ! I have a 2007 Fabia, when reverse is engaged a picture of the car comes up on the radio screen, most times it’s followed by a ‘beep’ . I looked on Youtube and a guy with a jag suggested I should be able to hear ticking from them but no such thing on mine !

HELP !

I've heard this "they should chirp" thing, maybe you/we need a mechanic's stethoscope to make that chirping out.

A car scan using a proper VAG compliant tool would/should reveal which sensor is causing your problem if indeed it is a sensor issue, which it normally will.

Alternative ways to sort this include buying in a suitable sensor probably via ebay, and replace each sensor at a time until the fault goes away, that is assuming that it is only a single sensor that is failing - getting the car scanned would lead you directly to the faulty sensor though, but might cost as much or more than a new genuine VAG sensor.
