Our Kodiaq has been built as is hopefully going to start its journey to the UK w/c 22nd July

 

Has anyone found a way to speed up delivery form this point? Our dealer has says its 'out of hands' until in the UK - to be fair he is organising a transporter once the car lands in the UK

 

Guess my question is who can I contact within Skoda to beg to get the Kodiaq on a ship ASAP

Skoda UK can request 'priority' which would mean jumping the ferry queue, but they won't do this without good reason.

Thanks for the reply Skoda UK mentioned this to me but said dealer had to request as they couldn’t ? Although does seem to vary as to who you speak to !

Skoda UK passing the buck. The request to expedite the car quicker has to be done by the UK importer, which in this case is Skoda UK, not their franchised dealer network.

 

Skoda UK may insist that the request for them to do it needs to be initiated by one of their dealers, but again, this isn't true. There have been threads on this very forum detailing how Skoda UK have prioritised delivery, especially when mistakes / avoidable delays have occurred at the hands of the dealer and/or Skoda UK.

Lets hope it's not being delivered by the ferry company hired by the government that doesn't have any ferries.

Just a thought, but if Škoda can expedite a delivery, and it's not to the detriment of another customer with a little bit more patience (or a gesture of goodwill) , then surely this 'rapid' delivery process should be their SOP for getting its cars to customers. 

 

Now that would be worthy of 'Škoda. Simply Clever'? 

That's the issue though, it is essentially queue jumping. If Skoda put your car on an earlier ferry, then another customers car has to wait for the next ferry.

Is the car's place on the ferry booked before or as it's been built, the ferry will have an Itinerary for weeks/months in advance, they don't just turn up looking for cars. The pick up for the cars will be made weeks in advance. The ships place in the harbour has to be also booked weeks in advance

Skoda's ability to organise delivery ordinarily would leaded one to think the chance of them hurrying one up is between no hope and Bob Hope.

My car was finished build 8. July, and then shipped to Bremerhaven by train. Then it goes to Norway by ship. 

 

My my car is still (!?!) in Bremerhaven.
