Welcome, sadly that is the latest version already installed in the 01xx series of SW Trains

It cannot read a file for some reason, was you able to begin any copying stages?

If yes, then maybe just one file/folder is missing or corrupt (looks more missing)

 

You will need to take an image for me of the SD Card contents

Yes

@gumuskurt22 You are using SD Card, and not phone or USB to SD Card adaptor?

Have you done a full (slow) format on the SD Card, and no errors found?

Sdcard.device stays on. Is it okay if I buy a new sd card and try it?

Yes buy another card, I presume you are using PC (though issue usually affects maps)

Thank you! the update is complete. but nothing changed. He got hopeful when he saw MirrorLink in the update files, but it still doesn't show up in the menu. Is there anything that can be done to enable MirrorLink?

I am glad that you have cured the firmware.

 

Speaking of, the firmware as you see, does contain all the features inside, but they are not all activated!

 

This is done by modifying the firmware to enable SWaP functions to be patched.

 

 

I have not done this myself, but Mr Fix has made a very nice video of process.

This method will work only on MIB2 Standard unit, made by Technisat/Preh, with navigation, with firmware version within the 01xx - 04xx range. Other unit (MIB1, MIB2 HIGH, Delphi, non-nav, firmware 05xx) are not supported by this method.

Yes, the tool works with any 01xx 02xx 03xx 04xx firmwares

I have never used the tool, so cannot support many questions, have to watch video guides on process.

I've been recently following this thread and noticed you guys are the leading experts in the matter.
I tried updating my Skoda Fabia 2015 Bolero system by Technisat.

I'm corrently running the following:

If i understood correctly the latest firmware for my system is the 253?

I've downloaded it from the "mibsolution" link @RomanB provided and extracted it into a usb thumbdrive, which was formated to fat32.

As I go to update through the "service menue" I encounter the following error:
"Error file access
Code 15
Cannot find the correct medium"
Could any of you assist me as of what is going wrong and how to do it correctly?
I've tried 2 different USBs and also the older version 245 & 252 with the same error occuring.

 

Any assistance would be very appreciated.

@MaShu Stick files onto SD Card, and forget USB!

 

Remove all USB and other cards from car.

Use battery support, or start the engine before update, do not start engine during update, it needs stable power for up to 1 hour, usually 20mins average time though.

 

That should make success.

@varooom i dont have an SD card reader, or cant seem to find it anywhere(glovebox, handwrest, media panel, etc).
is a USB sd card reader good enough?
