Audi RS4 or BMW M5

Im not keen on the "in your face" supercar thing.

TBH I would have more pleasure spending that sort of money on fitting one of the above engines in an Octy:D Imagine the fun factor.

I'd have said the Ferrari until I saw a Ford GT 'in the flesh'.

I think I'd go with the Ford now, it really is a nice looking motor!

Allways fancied a 2nd hand Dino or Muira untill they did that thing on top gear, 10 k engine rebuild and it blew up! Every car had lost most of their power, to the point where a furby would eat them up. It would have to be a euro lotto win to get me to spend the cash on a new one. Couple of mill and I'd retire but still run the vRS just change it more frequently. Might get an atom for track days tho.

The F430 for me.

Also, I know the guy. He was my mentor when I was an apprentice. Worked with him for about 4 years or so. Great bloke and really down to earth. :)

Another vote for a super-saloon - probably the RS8 if it's ever made (although an 'ordinary' S8 would do!). OTOH, an S65 AMG in black has a certain banana republic dictator appeal!!! :D

I'd have an Aston DBS a la James Bond. And a Gallardo for the weeekend.

And a Double Decker.

And a Double Decker.

More of a four-finger Kit Kat man, meself... ;):D

I had a chunky Kit Kat the other day which was solid chocolate! Great I thought, til I remebered that Nestle chocolate tastes like purest Guff.

What, like with no wafer? Must have come as a bit of a disappointment. Bought a Toblerone the other day for SWMBO, turns out they're slightly bubbly these days, not solid chocolate. The gits had sold me some air wrapped in chocolate! If I'd been after bubbles, I'd have bought an Aero! Dirty, rotten, stinking bast......

Oops, drifting OT a little, methinks!

Aston = Old codger

I voted porsche, but if I had all the money in the world it wouldnt be a new porsche, Maybe a 356, maybe an early 911, or maybe Tarquins special from the late 80's (Would need a paper bag in case anyone recognised me driving it though)

Which ever I went for though would have to be a nut and bolt rebuild, and a huge amount of mechanical modifications.

Flashy cars just dont do it for me, Any car that someone is likely to buy because "its says something" about the owner, I would be likely to be embarassed to drive. I felt embarassed enough test driving a BMW 520SE - especially when I realised the "drive" didnt even make up for the embarasement factor. It didnt help with swiss Tony banging on about it being a "classy Motor"

A rat look but mechanically pristine beetle with a 911 engine (maybe baja), thats my style.

Maybe a pristine prefacelift Mk 1 capri, GT XLR (I owned one once :D) but with subaru imprezza rally running gear.

Something classic looking but with a surprise enough behind the facade to wipe the grin from the drivers of most modern sports cars. Im pretty sure with enough money I could get one of these sort of cars setup to drive perfectly for my style.

I used to love driving around in my old 180hp MK2 escort with a 1.3l Badge on the back :D. One guy I knew had a 330hp mk2 RS2000 in concors condition Total Wolf in sheeps clothing :D

An "old" AM V8 Vantage "Oscar India", and a Citroen CX GTi Turbo2, and maybe a Citroen SM EFi.

From that list, F430 cos they look nice and sound lush. Given the cash, I'd have a Zonda F

Bristol Fighter T.

Lambo for me......... P.S ..5th gear is pants:thumbdwn: roll on top gears return !!

gotta be a V8 vantage- 150mph in the sitting room of a gentlemans club, smoking a pleasant, hand rolled havana, ticking off the shares you've bought that day.

its just susch a brutal old status symbol- kinda like a bentley turbo.

all silver spoon in the mouth and baseball bat in the jacket sleeve

DBS for me...

DBR9 for the weekend :D

Bristol Fighter T.

Is that for real?! Wouldn't even have considered them because of the Blenheim (being something of a parts bin special - ooh, let's play guess where the bits are from: I'll start with rear lights from a Carlton...) But the Fighter T looks like a real beast! :D

Bristol Fighter T.

Isn't that just a Dodge Viper twin turbo in a Saville Row suit?

The Blenheim is, let's be honest, bloody hideous. But the Fighter is gorgeous. And designed by engineers, which is why it doesn't need pop-up spoilers and has 8" of ground clearance.

I'd never previously had any sort of "lottery win" car, but the Fighter is just too cool.

Ex USN F14-D Tomcat .... why drive when you could fly and arrive in style!!

P.s. Anyone know what the MPG would be?

I'm not sure that miles per gallon is the best metric to use here

Assuming the aircraft is fitted with GE-F110 engines and you are flying along in max dry power setting (i.e. non-afterburning) then the specific fuel consumption is 75kg / kNh - therefore since the thrust is 73.8kN at this power setting the fuel consumption is 5535kg per engine (i.e. 11070kg per hour)

contrast this with max-reheat (i.e. afterburning) with a specific fuel consumption of 201kg / kNh and a thrust of 124.5kN then the toal fuel consumption is 50049kg per hour

In terms of miles per gallon - not very many at all ;)

I've hankered over a 911 turbo since I was SO young! It would be my first supercar, but likely to not be my last. A nicely tuned up 911 turbo pushing around 750+ bhp would be lovely jubbly.
