Should have been here earlier

Hi all,

Sorry I'm late :)

I been driving 'classic' Skodas on and off since 2002, mostly on. In order: Favorit hatch, (Astra, Belmont), Octavia (works car), Favorit estate, then a Favorit estate, Felicia hatch, Felicia estate, Felicia Estate, Felicia Estate, Felicia L Hatch is the current drive.

And further back I have experienced my sister's Rapid in the early 90's.  She however did not stick with the marque 😞

Had the usual sorts of issues; leaky sunroofs, alternator failures, starter motors, broken ignition switches. Yet never broken down so as not able to get home.  In fact the current Felicia already came with push button start!  The last time I called for recovery was when the battery failed, hardly Skoda's fault.  Doing about 18k per year so they don't take it too easy.

I skimmed through here lurking a couple of times  but have finally taken the plunge.  I have enjoyed driving my Skodas.

And they have had annual trips to Sutherland in August.  So there and back plus driving around is 1600 ish miles each holiday.

I hope that I can go back to an estate eventually. Below is a photo of taking four people and luggage away.  And proof that we get there  , the last shoot is 9 years ago in almost the same spot with the Duke of Sutherland monument just visible in the background.

Hopefully I'll be in here abut more now.  Till next time.

Thanks,

I found another photo and another eastern European motor. It is not often I park next to something older.
