Hello All, I was googling and found this forum.

I found out an error with my MIB unit - the back touchscreen is not working-, curious enough seems to work for other purposes, the part number is 5K7035200L SW: MST2_EU_VW_PQ_P0449T.

 

so I am thinking maybe a reflash or sw upgrade may fix the issue, reading previous post I found out the newest version is the 480, though I was only able to found the P0475T but display an incompatibility error, has someone experience a similar issue or help me getting the latest firmware version?

 

I was trying to do the upgrade using a 4GB SD card (in case the may cause any kind of issue).

MST2_EU_VW_PQ_P0449T I don't have on me the update for the PQ series, just ZR at this location

I am not sure if loading new firmware will help, if you are having hardware issues, but cannot hurt to rule it out.

I did upgrade from 361 to 369. I had few open points so maybe someone will need it.

 

1.unzip in root of SD (if u keep in folder it will not recognize)

2.Format FAT 32 with 4096 cluster size (you need smaller SD card ...e.g. 8Gb)

3.You can keep engine on or drive (start before upgrade)

4. approx. 30min 

5.no visible change 361 vs. 369

0359 is the latest version in the 03xx series of updates.

Move all files in the directory ...P0480T to the root, delete the empty directory and try again.

Thanks to varooom I know that my unit can be upgraded to 0253. However, I would like to know what benefits/improvements this upgrade brings as I have had several negative experiences when upgrading different devices (phones, TVs, etc). Also, my XIAOMI Redmi Note 10 pro works well with the unit now (streaming Spotify, phone works well .....) And I am weary of things going wrong. Any thoughts on this please? Thanks.

I have applied this exact firmware to mine.  Many others have applied firmwares from me and others, the unit's have emergency download capabilities also, usually for when someone placed update files into a folder and not the root of the SD Card.

 

It's mainly bug fixes being done, and VAG don't supply a changelog at all, we need to read TPI documents and best guess what's being fixed.

Press and hold down your menu button for 10 seconds or so, then you will enter the hidden menu with Software Train information and update button for firmware.
