I urgently need help restoring my SKODA Amundsen MIB2.5 (Octavia III) after a failed firmware update.
I installed firmware MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T.
Now I have a completely black screen, no button backlight, and no response at all.

Additional info: My phone can connect via Bluetooth. When I connect it with a cable, it automatically connects to the head unit, and Android Auto starts — I can listen to music.

Hi all, would anyone kindly help me with an update for this MIB3 in my Skoda Karoq. It misbehaves quite often and I realise it could be down to the out dated firmware as it has never been updated (2021 Karoq). Currently I have version 0302 on it.

I’ve bricked my Amundsen (MIB2 STD) head unit after flashing the MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T firmware — now the screen stays black, although Bluetooth and Android Auto are still working.

I’m trying to downgrade to a stable firmware version using ODIS-E and VAS5054A.

Could you please share a working .frf file for one of the following versions?

@Nemain touch problem is hardware, not firmware - you should have digitizer replaced.

Thank you for the link, but I specifically need the firmware in .frf format. I want to flash my Amundsen unit using ODIS-E and a VAS5054A. The file you provided is meant to be installed via SD card.

Unfortunately, I cannot use the SD card method because my display no longer works — it's completely black, and the physical buttons have also stopped responding.

This happened after I tried updating my Amundsen via SD card.

As I mentioned earlier, my phone connects via Bluetooth, and I can listen to music through Android Auto without any issues. However, I can only control the volume using the steering wheel buttons.

Is there any other way to install firmware on my Amundsen without needing the display?

Infotainment unit can't be falshed this way, sorry. Display will work in emergency mode.

1. format SD (best max 32GB) under FAT32

2. unpack to root (metainfo2.txt and all the folders must be placed directly on SD, not in any folder)

3. insert SD card into the slot

4. enter Service Menu (long press MENU button)

Hello guys, I´m new to this forum, and looking for advice :)

I´m the happy owner of the Superb III (2017), and last week, my subscription to Care Connect - Remote Access expired. I´ve renewed it after 24 hours; however, after being renewed, MyŠkoda APP is unable to wake up the car and receive actual data (it was working flawlessly until the expiration of the subscription). The data are updated only after the vehicle is unlocked or driven. I´ve contacted the Škoda connect support, and they advised to get the infotainment software "repaired" (updated) at the dealer.

My current version of software is 468, and the latest version available is 480. I´ve already found the tutorial on how to perform the update and downloaded the firmware, but there were warnings that this firmware could permanently damage the display/touchscreen.

Could somebody validate this info, or is it only a rumour?

It can only damage your system if the update files are either corrupted or the updates borks mid-upgrade. In most cases, the system will revert out of the update. I've never heard of any system being physically damaged.
