I have tried re flash to latest version however, my unit could not recognise the update so I was advise I would require a re flash bridge to then allow me to download the latest one.

The USB is Apple-certified, detects it perfectly, plays iPhone music, and charges without issue. Appconnect only displays the MirrorLink logo in gray.

No, CarPlay came in with the MIB2 infotainment which was introduced in around May 2015 on the Octavia 3.

You are on the latest firmware.

@Matess36 I confirm what @varaderoguy wrote, in such case I believe this is either some HW issue with your infotainment unit or broken microphone harness.

Thanks to both I will try probing the wires to mic if it is still not working I will try if there are any solder cracks inside the unit. I also have unit from octavia mk3 so I can relace chips inside if I find something bad
