I've just contacted ECS Tuning to ask them if they ship to France.

Well, I got the answer this morning. They do! But... $36... This means ~ €96 to get it... Weel it hurts, but probably the "cheapest" I could find in a version at least as recent as mine.

Thanks a lot @JR RS 👍 for the tip! Much appreciated!

@Bap33 - agreed.  it is not ideal, but compared to prices at other places, for a version F, it is a win.

Hi,

Problem solved, no more fault code popping up upon VCDS scan.

I finally found a D version (as my original one) on a french website for €107 (delivered), compared to €97 on ECS Tuning. I found this easier.

Why would you fit the old D version that often fails opposed to the revised F version which doesn’t fail prematurely?

The original one lastet almost 6 years. I expect the new one to last the same time. Anyway, I’m quite sure I´ll have changed my car within the 6 next years…

AQS, the return!

My new AQS has lasted... 6 months 😤... I had bet it would last at least 2 or 3 years.

Losing bet 🙄...

I'll check if there can be a 1 year warranty. Otherwise, next one will then be a F version. I hope it won't cost me an arm in this case

I thought mine was back too because I did a scan last night and there was a warning on 08 Air Conditioning module!!

"B10CD00 - Function limitation due to energy management"

Different message to wat I was getting before I changed the AQS sensor.

Never seen that warning before.  Hopefully it's just a one off.

I've cleared it now.

Will keep an eye on it to see if it comes back.

Clearing it is useless, it comes back immediately. I googled the fault code on the ross-tech forum, and conclusion is regularly the same: Sensor faulty...

Good news!

The website had asked me to send my AQS back for quality control and expertise few weeks ago, which I did

I've received an email today saying, I'm going to be refunded. 😃

I'm now looking for another brand new AQS corresponding to 5Q0907643F OEM reference. 😎

I say nothing :D

glad they refunded it though!

on this subject, my D revision has recently started showing faults so looks like I’ll be replacing mine also

My original one was a D version, which lasted 6 years. I had imagined the new one could last the same duration.

Furthermore, F version was not available at similar costs. Shipping costs were up to 80% of the sensor price, especially if sold on non EU websites.... 😵

Currently, F version are available at more affordable prices...

Additionally, it reminds me 2 sayings:

- Experience is a light that only lights the path you've done.

- Others' experience is a light that lights in your back.

Do all superb have an air quality sensor or just the ones with air care? If all have them is air care any different to a car that doesn’t have the logo?

seems to me it does the same thing but I’m sure there’s more to it

Hi,

I've found 3 possible suppliers for 5Q0907643F reference, but have no idea of which one is the most reliable: AIC, Vemo or Hella.

Prices can be significantly different fo course

Any advice or experience on these " suppliers?

TIA.

This is the one I got 9 months ago - haven't had any AQS warnings since then.

Bought mine from ECS Tuning for $75 USD, delivered.

Hi @JR RS,

Thanks for sharing. I've just done an estimate. Currently, ECS tuning would mean $68 delivered for me.

I was wondering about their disclaimer in red about shipping time/costs thru UPS:

"UPS: Service typically delivers in 2 - 5 business days for most international locations. Shipping quotes are based on orders that are not delayed in customs due to import processing delays.

This method of service does NOT include the cost of duties or taxes related to customs clearance. These fees are charged to the customer at the time of delivery."

Does your 75  USD include potential custom taxes?

TIA

@Bap33 - that was the total price.  i didn't have to pay any import duties or taxes.

i'm in australia though, so other countries may differ.

ECS is based in america so it depends what agreement france has?

For example if i wanted to import from france to the UK i have to pay an additional 20% tax plus an admin fee on the value of the order when it reaches a UK entry point.

Thanks fo your feedbacks. I've ordered it this morning. To be continued...

Bad joke today: €32-ish of additional custom taxes 😮.

Fortunately, it’s still less expensive than the first one I ordered and for whom I was refunded.

Did anyone try cleaning theirs AQS ? I gave mine a wash down with IPA , not had any issues since.

Mine has been broken for the last 4 years and, for what it does, I can't be bothered to replace it. I will be trying your IPA solution though ( surely not India Pale Ale ) to see if it fixes it.

I hope it will last longer than the previous one. 🤨

I know this threads quite old now but I'm having an issue with my AQS. Fault code B10A415 - short circuit to postive. Replaced the sensor and cleared the fault but it comes back straight away. Any suggestions?
