Hi!
does anyone have any tangible information about the production of octavia rs models? At the beginning of last June, we ordered a total of 5 combi and sedan versions and there is no information about any of them. Of course there are well-equipped models, hifi Canton, side assistant, etc. Home traders say there are also big problems with matrix lamps and they can't say anything encouraging. We apologize if the Czech language is incorrectly translated by Google.
Hi:
Attila from Hungary :)

Hi,

yesterday / today, units of the RS pieces, which are complete, have only just started to be produced. Until then, they were incomplete and are on the parking lot.

I guess this applies to many others as well, not only RS models.

That is also my assumption, although I am aware that assumption is the mother of all mistakes. :)

Well unfortunately it’s all we got, thanks to the abundance of info from dealers 🤷‍♀️

Asked my dealer today. Read curtains and washers removal is mainly for lower spec models.

Also asked that IF my RS would not be in production, what would be the estimate. He said lucky to have it this year :)

Gz man, finally some new shiny metal 🥳

Too bad about the front signal lights, I hope they’re the only victim of chip shortage and the rest is as you ordered.

Here’s to many safe miles 🥂

First change that I noticed is that front signal led lights are not dinamic and let’s say that’s the victim of chip shortage

First of all, nice that someone is getting any cars! :D

But about the turn signals. Did you know this before you got it?

Actually I didn’t know that…I just noticed when driving it. I called the dealer and asked him if this is something I can turn on somehow…his first reaction was “I don’t know if it’s possible to switch it on by OBD11 but if you do, you can loose your warranty “ my thoughts were “I never asked you for OBD11” so then he explained me that every vehicle produced after the 12th week is full LED with AFS function but without front dynamic signal light…only rear indicators are left dynamic.

I love those at Dealerships when they talk about voiding a Warranty.

Unauthorised by the factory software or hardware is what it says in the Warranty T&C's and there might be more stuff. Not originally fitted etc.

But when you buy your car, own your car and it's ECU, wiring etc and something has not been enabled on the vehicle but can be enabled and a Dealership would even do it for a fee or it could have been if you paid extra when buying the car, that must be Factory Approved software.  Just the function not enabled.

Exactly…I mean I know for sure there are few functions that can be turned on with one press of the button…and if I do that how on earth they could found that up?

well yet again i have read my e mails today, friday  update is the same as every other friday pushed back by one week to 17 /06/2022 just short of 13 months since ordering it..

Did anyone write directly to Skoda Auto to complain about the overall situation? Maybe they don't feel enough pressure?

i think the people in power will know all about the problems.that is why they have so called public relations people that dont even work for skoda doing there dirty work for them.

Yeah I did it :)

Colleagues first I see that car equipment is not problem. If you check Kodiaq they also have matrix lights, park assist, rear camera etc. so same equipment like Octavia have.
And dealer says that these cars are not problem.

Someone else wrote that someone gets an Octavia combi (wagon) very quickly, not a limousine, so there’s something weird here.

In Friday I has visit again dealer and ask about information’s, he again repeat that he get information that all unfinished cars they should be finish at end of August 2022, I don’t believe in that but ok.
But some other cars that don’t have a confirmed production or VIN number, all of these orders are delayed or flawed because these cars will be the new annual model, so the seller told me.

I also got also answer from Škoda customer service, they told me that fire in Antolin is still problem,
they partially resumed production so for Škoda Octavia RS they still don’t produce door panels (so my car missing just door panels nothing else), so car is parked and waiting that Antolin restore production.
They say that this will be done till end of summer but we all know what this information means 😢😢
So we can only hope for miracle that this will happened 🙏🙏

So that means 18 months of waiting crazy time, if I ordered a sports Audi, I would get the car within 12 months 🤦‍♂️

[!] OCTAVIA DOOR INSERTS

Current outlook for the situation:

Incomplete wagons due to a lack

of door panels should henceforth

occur at most in case units per week.

Completion of incomplete cars on a larger

scale should start in KT 22/2022, all

incomplete OCTAVIA cars should be delivered to

your dealer by the end of September 2022.

Variants of door panels marked as V1 / V2 / V3 are

already available, start of production V4 is

planned for KT 25/2022.

• The designation of the door panel variant can be found in

the OVEX / 2 application in Zn. Selection of

the relevant commission.

How do we even know what is missing on our cars? 😅

Exactly, dealers have some info, making their own assumptions, Skoda gives out generic answers…
Getting tired 🥱 of waiting, more than 3 months until September, kinda doubt that as well with summer closures of factories in general…

V4 is RS...

Quote:

"Now, coincidentally, the information from the seller - confirms the authenticity of the data above about the door panels V4 - RS - the start of production from the 25th week, because the production week has shifted from KT 22-24 / 2022 to KT 25-27 / 2022. So another month. With this shift, I will also "celebrate" the year since the order (June 21, 2021) and also fall from MR2023."

Edited by MaximusMeridius

MR2023 is model year

i will also celebrate maybe two years because my car still don't have any production or any date. up to today so yeah awesome hehe.

So then V3 is Sportline?
