  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

Ordered my Octavia vRS Combi on 28th April 2023, picked it up yesterday, 27th July 2023 so pretty much exactly 3 months.

No, I don't know how either, as I was quoted 50 weeks...

I got an update from the dealer today. Still on build week 36. So that’s 5 weeks from now and my estimated pickup date is end September/Early October. It’s an SEL IV estate with several options ordered in April 2022. Anyone with an older order date still waiting?

Thanks! After finally getting a build week after waiting a year or so, since I got given a week, it’s stayed pretty much exactly the same.

how are you enjoying yours?

last i heard was that i had an "unconfirmed build date" in October and possibly delivery in November - won't hold my breath though!

Still waiting here Ordered Sept 2021 VRS iv hatch 😞

Well the unwanted date is upon me, it's 2 years to the day that I ordered my Octavia VRS iv Hatch PHEV. There is literally no other manufacturing industry that this would be acceptable. The date on my tracker states ETA Late November but every month this date moves back, in line with the current date. At no point have the dates been less than 3 months apart. I don't think I will see it this year. Beyond frustrated 🤬

I feel the same annoyance, frustration and anger as I ordered exactly the same car in Sept 2021 and still don't have a build date - Just lots of annoying adverts on all their new models 🤬🤬

We should all start spamming their socials with our anger, advise people not to order a ŠKODA

I have done some of that 🤣

Another SEL Estate iV ordered here.. Ordered January 2022 and since early June of this year I also have had a build week 36, delivery anticapted for late Sept/early Oct.  Honestly I am only semi-convinced at the moment that I'll see the car then!!!!

So I had a call from the dealership today, they said I have a new build date 4 weeks from now. I asked what that meant for delivery timescale and they said their guess is as good as mine.....useless.

Does anyone have a rough estimate of delivery date, based on experience?

My car was built in week 22 (week commencing 29th May). The dealer said to expect delivery late late July.  It arrived in the dealership on 28 June and i collected it on 30th June. From the build date to collection for me was around 4 weeks. I think i was lucky  as i ordered the car on 24th May which meant from order to collection was only 12 weeks! (Vrs estate tsi dsg with a few extras.)

supposedly my SEL iV is being built today... .. . delivery could be end of september/early october .. ..  ordered in november 2021.

a little conflicted as I'm not really excited by it anymore 😞, plus the extra £6k doesn't appear to be worth it? would be good to hear others experience?

Long time lurker here. I finally have solid good news on my iV Tech Estate with no extras. Company lease ordered Oct/Nov 21. First real update was a couple of months ago with "estimated build date mid-aug, for Sept delivery". Today received news that it is on its way, so the current updates do seem to have some accuracy, and things are starting to move again on the iV front.

I can't comment on the exact value of iV to your particular situation, but on the bright-side; you hopefully paid far less for more car than anyone is able to buy today. Also, I suspect that because the iV's were removed from sale, despite being popular, that this will create a strong 2nd hand market for them. So hopefully you still have a decent car for the money, and you can still get quite a lot of value back if you don't get on with it and want to sell it on.

I know what you mean, the excitement does die over certain periods when you are trying not to get your hopes up, but I bet when it is due for delivery you will be excited again. I know I am looking forward to stepping in to a new car again now.

So the information that I was given is that they had problems producing engines. Also, I suspect, that we may be getting the old MY22 car rather than the MY23 version (just guessing). I did check out autotrader and found a low mileage SEL iV for 2K£ more then I'm paying for brand new .. ..  so not bad

yes I'm a long time lurker too 🙂

Mine was delivered just under a month ago, and is MY24.

Iam unfamiliar with the MY23/MY24 terminology. Is it Manufactured Year 23/24? Also if it’s a MY24 how does that differ from a MY23 model? I believe there’s a facelift expected soon, would that be a MY25? It’s been nearly a year since I ordered a VRS IV, I’m hoping I get it with the new facelift rather than sooner and it being out of date within a couple of months.

I believe it means Model Year. I'm not sure what the differences are, but the guy behind VCDS told me mine was MY2024, based on the scan I sent to him - I need to use the beta version of VCDS:

Since this is a MY 2024 car, you pretty much have to stick with the Beta for now, at least until we have a regular Release that supports MY 2024.

I was about to ask the same question. I thought Y22/Y23 was the same (just reduced extra options at some period). And I thought they were trying to clear the backlog of old orders, to make sure they were delivered as Y22/Y23, so that they could start selling the facelift version in 2024 aka Y24.

Well news in recent last days, now confirmed build week beginning 4th September.  So as was at week 36 but now 'cast in stone' or in Skoda dealer speak gone from status code 10 to status code 20!!  So looks like a potenial keys-in-my-hands deliver late September / early October on a 73-plate.

Tbh I am looking forward to it as the current "hand me down intereim car, Mecerdes A250e" really doesn't suit family life and the ride isn't great either really.  Hopefully its going to be a good experience being back in a Skoda, the last diesel Octavia was a total lemon but thats a story for another day!

My SEL iV estate should like like this, image from orginal order configuration..  The only option being the change of rims.

Morning all,

Just ordered VRS petrol estate with travel assist and winter pack, dealer advised delivery would be around 3 months but when I actually ordered the Skoda site lead time was 40 weeks, anyone have any experience ordering a similar spec in the recent past?

I will report back to this post with any progess in case it is of use to others :)
