Little bit of off topic question. I ordered a new Octavia 2.0 TDI 150HP DSG in mid-January with a 14-16 weeks lead time. (But some say maybe it will be here earlier)

 

My question is, with what tyre will it come from factory? 17” “Mensa” wheels.

 

Idk it depends on the market or no, but I’m from Hungary.

Whatever make and model of tyre they have in the factory at the time it is built that meets their specification.

Ordered VRS petrol on Wednesday with rear wiper and spare wheel as only options. Dealer just advised build to be week 15, 5 weeks after ordering. Hopefully things won't alter too much.

Is that a facelift model then?

My PCP deal ends in December - thinking about a facelift model, but I thought not available yet ( in UK) too?

No. Current model.  Don't think facelift is available to order yet.

Ordered my vRS diesel exactly 4 weeks ago. It’s going to be built between March 18th -24th. Then approximately 4 weeks until I collect it.

That's pretty quick then!

I get mine on Thursday after ordering mid-Nov 🤗

Has anyone ordered the facelift yet? If so, when are you supposed to take delivery? Thanks!

Hello, just found this thread as I have just purchased the Octavia hatch (still to be made haha).

 

The car order (with all the configurations confirmations and deposits with the dealer) was made few days ago (October 1st).

 

Seems like build week is set to be 44th (which is October 28th to 2024 November 3rd) according to the dealer's provided details a week before the order.

 

It is Selection package, 1.5 liters, 85 kw e-tec, graphite grey color, with matrix lights, 360 view, all assisted drive assists, lodge interior with ambient, spare wheel, other small accessories.

I was told that delivery estimate from the initial order would be around 3-6 months. So Christmas at earliest, March should be at latest.

 

Hope this information helps others.  Will update on details later on if I don't forget.

Hi, returning to Skoda and this site for the first time since 2018. On August 15th put in an order for a FL Octavia vRS hatch. Went for Race Blue, Canton and rear wiper. The dealers advise me that my build week will be 2nd week in November. I may be able to take delivery mid December, but could be January.

Had confirmation that build week is 47. Looking like collection in the first week of January.

Got a message from the dealer that the car will be made this week, and next week will be in Lithuania for pick-up. What a fascinating result of manufacturing! Would be only 1.5 month!

My vRS was built in November and arrived at Emden a week later. Had a message from the dealer at the beginning of this month that it had been loaded on a ship, but as far as I know it’s still on the ship which hasn’t yet left port. I did read an interview with the principal of a large national chain of dealerships, who said that some manufacturers were holding back deliveries of ICE cars as they were in trouble with meeting the quotas under the ZEV mandate. VW subsequently denied that they were having trouble, but nothing from Skoda. There may be nothing in it, as it was just one person’s opinion but the delay does seem odd and the car now won’t be in the UK until early January.

I am in Croatia, and the delivery time is 5 months (4 months for the "regular" version and 5 months for the RS). Additionally, the contract includes a clause allowing them to extend the delivery time by another 2 months.

Interestingly, just a few kilometers away in Slovenia, the delivery time is only 2 months.

It's as if the cars aren't being produced in the same factory.

It seems other orders came in after mine have already been shipped and received. I've read rumours on other forums of the sometimes chaos at port, where a the shear amount of vehicles coming in and shipping out goes a bit wrong. 

 

Interestingly, I'd asked the the lease company I'd ordered from what they thought about the EV mandate stuff@markgto , and he was of the opinion that Skoda and VW weren't holding back non-EV cars, and we're in fact pushing for registration/delivery of petrol cars 🤷‍♂️

I have been contacted by the dealer yesterday to say that my car has now left port. It does seem that there are delays at Emden, but not sure why. The dealers are very keen to hand the car over to me by the year end. It does seem that Skoda aren’t having problems with the ZEV mandate/quotas.

Ooh that's good news. I also had an email today saying car had been shipped, likely heading to Grimsby. Due to Christmas break and whatever else, it's likely early to mid-January for me for delivery. Similar circumstance to you @markgto, my car has to be registered by December 31st and did all the finance paperwork a week or so ago. Exciting times though man! 🚢

It looks like my car will also arrive a month early. The deadline was 5 months (ordered at the end of 11/24), and according to the latest information, it should arrive by the end of this month.

My car arrived one month earlier as well! I placed the order on 6th of January and the dealership received the car on Friday, so just a little over 2 months. I'll pick it up as soon as the registration is done.
