Delivery times?

Featured Replies

I ordered my new vRS on the 10th Feb and was told 8-10 weeks for delivery. Got an email on Wed last week advising the car had now been built and had left the factory but it would be a few weeks yet before it arrives at the dealership.. Hoping it will be ready to collect at the end of the month or the first week in April...

  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

Ordered an SE L Estate. 1.5DSG, Graphite Grey, Light and View pack, Memory seats, Drive assist plus.

Dealer said it would be up to 26 weeks!

I'll provide updates when I have them.

Ordered a 2.0 Graphite Grey back in mid January.

Dealer told me it would be around mid April delivery, but the app kept saying June/July.

Last week the app changed to 31/5 to 12/6 - before I got an email this weekend from Skoda to tell me to start the activation as the car would soon be available for pickup.

Now the app doesn't have any estimated date, but there is a "start activation" button, so I'm assuming it's in the country and about to be delivered to the dealer.

What app is telling you this? How do I get it? (Android)

Is this MySkoda? If so, how do I add my order to the app??

Yes that's the one.

I got an email when I ordered the car from Skoda Connect to set up and account and download the app.

I ordered mine through a dealer, I have an order number (but suppose it might be dealer specific). Only been a week since I ordered it, must learn to be patient!

Ordered 10th Feb? Any extras on the car or base model?

I normally get an update every Friday from the dealer, mine was ordered 24th March. Last weeks update was 'no update'! No build date as yet.

I now have a build week - week 23, w/b 2nd June.

Only extras with mine were the winter pack plus and spare wheel, was advised yesterday it's at the dealership and have arranged collection for Saturday morning.. Very excited now, can't wait to see it in the flesh.

Oh it's the new VRs i ordered..

Enjoy! Quite a wait until I get mine I think!

Got my build week - wk23, 2nd June.

  • 1 month later...

Car is built, and at the port in Germany.

I have the VIN and entered it into the My Skoda app, but I can't do the final activation bit until I get the car.

Is it possible to get shipping status updates in the app? or is it just the dealer that can do this?

If you've got a helpful dealer, they might be able to give you status updates (at port awaiting transit/on ship etc); you can't use the app for this sadly. You can also geek out and track the ships (e.g. www.marinetraffic.com) leaving and arriving into your nearest port, guessing if your car is on the ship or not!

OK, thanks!

I've done the pre-activation bits, just need to be patient.

Dues to various holidays and other events, I can't take delivery until mid-July.

Waiting game can be tough, but you'll appreciate it whenever it arrives! I sold my previous Octavia on the guesstimate on when next one would arrive, but unbeknown to us there were port delays at the time and it sat there for a bit

I'm coming back to Skoda. I've had 2 Octavias, both estates, both L&K. First one was diesel (company car), second petrol. Then went to Ford Focus, now coming back to Skoda.

SE l 1.5 DGS estate in Graphite Grey, plus a few toys.

Nice. What extra toys have you gone for? You've probably read elsewhere on the forum, the mk 4.5 in whatever trim feels like a step up from previous versions.

Spare wheel, metallic paint (graphite grey), assisted drive package plus, electrically adjustable seats with memory, light and view package.

My last Octavia was (I think) a v3 - 12 plate, so things will have moved on!

We had a good test drive before I ordered, the dealer just said 'bring it back in 45-60 mins!

When we got back into the Focus to come home (19 plate) it felt quite primitive!

Trying to decide whether to go with the trade-in deal, or sell with WBAC or Motorway - I know I will get more than trade-in, but a bit more hassle.

Whichever route to selling you chose, I had a really good experience with motorway. Went online on the Sunday evening, sold straight away for more than I thought, collected later that week. Just be honest in your listing and take the photos using their platform (can't upload you're own, if you know what I mean). Only faff I had was getting the settlement figure from Skoda!

I've got a few weeks yet, I'm expecting the car mid-July.

Email from dealer last Friday (20th), car is ready!

Due to holidays and other things that I don't want to take a brand new car to, I've delayed pick-up for 3 weeks. I'll manage!!!

I ordered my new VRS at the end of Feb (race blue with the winter pack & rear wiper), I've been told that it's in the country- arrived in Grimsby 😊
