Can anyone help with how to remove this trim above brake switch please?

I need to fix an intermittent cruise control fault and  the next step is pedal switches! Thanks.

Hope this helps. Removing the whole master cylinder sounds like a lot of malarkey just to change a switch.  Hope someone who's actually done it can chime in to advise.

 

Ugh, sorry, didn't read that you're looking to remove the interior trim, see this one. Just looks like 4 screws hold it in.  Don't think you'd need to remove the steering column trim panels.  That thing in your picture is actually a knee airbag, so disconnect the battery before you begin work.

Thanks, you answered another question I had, which is if the pedal switch isn't the problem, how do I get to the master cylinder switch. Very helpful.

Ah yes another air-bag! I wondered what it was. Thanks again, you have been really helpful.

 

Do you have the diagram to remove the driver's storage compartment please? I tried bending the tab at the top but don't want to break it. Thanks again .

It doesn't have a picture for this unfortunately and just says "unhook".  I seem to recall there was a tang that could be pushed aside to let it open fully, the same tang that stopped it opening all the way.  I may be confusing this with the newer car I have though.

You're right, I'll bend that little tang/tab thing a bit more. Thanks again.

Can a Brake light switch failure cause the check engine light and glow plug warning lights to come on? I have also had then green pedal light flickering in the instrument cluster with the shifter lock clicking during the flicker.
