I’ve got lots of information I’ll try not to ramble too much,

long term this is going to be a citigo with full up gti kit, engine, 6speed box, brakes, suspension etc.
Ive wanted to make one for a few years and up gti prices are very strong so not hugely viable, however I’ve had a right result and purchased a 68plate cat b up gti with 18k on clock and no intrusion into engine bay :) ,

some pics of the citigo when I brought her a couple of months back

62plate se spec

with 72k on clock,

Inside I’ve insulated pretty much everywhere although will add some more foam under carpet when all interior comes out again, added a rcd 215dab retrofit, front feelart speakers and a pillar tweeters added with gloss black up trims and Octavia mk3 vrs steering wheel and Audi TT front leathers.

Rear will have a stern performance rear seat delete with brace and netting it’s on order :)

Also added under bonnet insulation that comes on the e-up, I love also since drilled the other two holes that the citigo bonnet doesn’t have and fitted the other two clipsF38A4087-7591-4C5E-8713-0DDE0FFA7D5B.thumb.jpeg.5f5ad3b57b1b84780183b35b1f77d6b8.jpeg5DE80387-BB7A-4A7F-BA89-0A7721F23E3B.thumb.jpeg.faebac56227b1cc20f41909d5d739c0c.jpeg

Some more pictures of the seats, I’ve made them plug and play with airbag connectors, the passenger occupancy sensor was swapped over to inside the TT base, and seat belt buckles also fitted from the citigo seats.

the TT mk1 seats i have fit before into a mk1 Fabia so remembered they were thinner then the usual late vag fitment.
I will get them retrimmed at some point but we’re a bargain for £80

Cheers all, should be a big update next week weds as I’m getting the up gti doner, plans are to swap  bits over but to keep her running as is over winter then early next year I’ll be swapping the engine box wiring etc

I absolutely love the idea with the seats swap. This is something I was considering myself.

I will keep an eye on this thread as it may come up with some great ideas 😀

If I might offer a hint, keep the Up! shell and wiring until you've got the motor running in the CityGone...

Couldn’t keep the shell as it’s a cat b had to be scrapped.

I’ve got the complete wiring loom front to back :)

Was planning to do the same with my 63 plate Elegance but was let down at the last minute by an eBay seller. Will be following your build with interest.

Will you be selling the GTi seats?  If you are I could be interested in them.

Brought myself some Christmas pressies,

some bilstein b12 shocks and Eibach springs combo, and some forge goodies for the engine,

going to see if I get a chance to do the suspension soon if the weather stays mild, and if the gti brakes clear the alloys

Are you fitting gti brakes too?

Was thinking about it but I can't find anything online to confirm if they are in fact bigger than the standard Citigo brakes.  Have you compared your gti brakes with the standard ones? Would be interested to know one way or another.

Yes gti are 288mm standard are 256mm with integral carriers so can’t go bigger without the hubs. There’s a company on eBay that sells all the bits for conversion

Do you intend to fit the GTi door mirrors to the Citigo?

I am yes I’m just going to have to get some facelift vw up front wings to delete the side repeaters, as I’d be gaining the mirror indicators
