How which manufacturer to go for for OEM parts - specifically rear wheel hubs and speed sensors?

Featured Replies

I need one, maybe two rear wheel hubs and speed sensors to correct a DGS change up problem in a Skoda Super mk II, 2 litre, 170 bhp,  2012

At my age I don't mind paying a little extra for OEM parts that will last me out, or at least OEM quality parts, but I object to paying through the nose for parts from a Skoda Stealer.

Lots of sites like autodoc, eurocarparts etc claim to offer OEM quality parts and even let you choose your manufacturer.

My question is then

Which manufacturer supplied rear hubs for the skoda superb in 2012?

So that I can choose the same supplier again.

One site says that Kraft are OEM but people can say what they like when they are selling something.

Anyone know what makes to look out for when buying wheel hubs?

If not OEM than what are good makes, as I'm getting too old to keep crawling underneath my car every couple of years!

I have always liked SKF bearings

Less than a hundred delivered from ebay

Yes, they make good bearings. The ones on autodoc are about £50. They claim they have an "integrated ABS sensor"  but I don't think that's true. They have an integrated magnetic positioning ring, same as most hubs,  but not the ABS sensor that actually reads the position/speed.

Are they OEM though?

I ask as several people here, wisely, say use OEM ABS sensors with the hub, not cheap ebay ones, but a quick search has found sensors from £5.50 up to £70  so how do I know which are OEM, or which are worth getting?
