I have 2016 L&K with Columbus system. When I connect my Iphone 12 from rear usb, smartlink(carplay) doesn’t works but media player works and play songs. Also on the same port when I connect android phone, android car works with smartlink.

 

Idk what is the issue with Iphone/carplay. I can’t see my phone on device list.

 

*I restarted infortainment system. Nothing changed!

 

Anyone encounter this issue?

Has it ever worked? There's more than one usb port and 2016 is quite early for smartlink. Some ports work with Android auto but not carplay. They are quite easy to replace. Take a dig through Sasha's Octavia thread as there is loads of info on it in there.

Update: I have had solve this issue by replacing apple car play module in the car from service.
