After a long search for a solution to the well-known Swing problems with static/crackling audio issues, I came across this and am happy that someone is helping the poor souls where the car dealer does not want to.

Could you please also supply me with the update 8755 and a how-to? Here is my Fabia's info:

 

 

Does this effect anything if there is still a warranty? Thank you!!

I can send you a link and some simple instructions.

 

If the car is in warranty, you should complain and they should do the update for you, if you choose to do it yourself then I highly doubt this would break anything.

You will probably have a small 'fault' in the diagnostic scan, as the car needs an online connection for the mothership to register the update and feedback to the car a new checksum confirmation.

 

This doesn't stop the radio, it's just a stored fault, and you can clear with VCDS.
