infotainment update

Featured Replies

hi

New on here so not sure where exactly I should post this.

I have Skoda Kodiaq 2019 and I thought I would update the infotainment system.  What will I get if I do. At the moment Android Auto uses a physical cable connection but I know newer versions are wireless... Is this a simple software change or does the hardware need changed for wireless connection?

Either way I'd like to update the version... Can anyone provide the latest update?

Many many thanks in advance. Details attached.

  • @xyboox You shall have update by PM

  • No. And it's probably a good idea to do this on a used car anyway (hopefully the dealer will have done it, but there's no harm in you doing it just in case 😉).

  • @Joncs23yes   @Ievgeniii need to download it from the server for you   @bluemoon2020sent me pm

You will need to hold down the Menu/Setup button for about ten seconds to enter engineering menu with Software Train information.

Post up that image.

Yes to 0480 version, link via Private Message system

Hello, would there be a firmware upgrade for my system as well? It's a Columbus MIB2 system, but looking slightly different to the other guys' ones above, where mine only have one set of soft buttons on the left side. The software train is also a slightly different format.

Thanks in advance

Perfect thanks. The car was recently in for a fault repair, and I wonder if they upgraded the firmware as well then.

Thanks again!

It would appear they may have done such a thing ☺️

Could you please send me the new software.

What are the general improvements in it?

There is one bug (I don't know if it is related to the Information software), but it often happens that when I start the car I get a message: "Telephone: System switched off" or "Not available"

Hi, guys.

I wonder is there a firmware update for my unit? Freezing and wrong reactions time to time. Thanks in advance.

Update went successfully. No errors during procedure but in the end I received notification: testing main unit, comparing versions, if error will be found, then unit will be rebooted. Test lasting long time, not finished yet. Is it normal? How long it will take?

Honestly mine is a different firmware to yours, and no big testing was needed, it asked to connect to diagnostic equipment to check, but I cancelled.

So I cannot answer how long it will be, can you show image??

It's SEAT, but same process for Skoda

Everything is fine. It was only a promt for diagnostics. As you said, I just canceled it and the unit rebooted. In the end works fine. Will keep an eye on unit, in case bugs are still living inside...Thanks.
