Just bumping up my post as people are still requesting updates here. I updated mine using the files from the above website and it went very smoothly. There are a bunch of YouTube videos that will guide you through the update process too.

Hi everyone, new here, have a 2017 Octavia for about 3 years. 
It’s on the below/attached firmware / SW MU version. 0363. 

I’ve been getting infotainment crashes and also issues with CarPlay (have googled a lot including this forum as it sounds like the problem could be one of multiple sources, really hard to tell). I’m keen to try an update to see if that helps. 

Can anyone help me identify how I can get this updated? The car says it’s got 0363-1 available. Is there a way I can do this myself?

 

My closest dealer is 30 mins away but they haven’t responded to me so far on requests to do an update.

It was said in one of the recordings that the car should be on all the time while running the update. Should I turn on just ignition or the engine as well ? If just the ignition how do I know that the battery is charged enough ?

Just read "a little" to the update-thing. It seems, that P0480T from 2021 still is the latest update-version for the Technisat-Bolero? Could this be or is there any newer stuff? Thanks in common for your hints and tips!

In the meantime i managed it on my own to update my MIB2 from 0472 to 0480. Maybe there is now an error somewhere in the Memory, but can't do anything against it without an OBD-tool. Also recognized no changes to the older software.

I've got multimedia firmware updated last year because had some issues, freezing and etc. Some of them gone. I've got new functions as weel, for example voice control using russian language. I wonder if there any newer update available for my car? Last time I got update from user varooom: MHI2_ER_SKG13_P4526, MU 1440. Also wondering is there any possibilities to get engine/ECU and gearbox firmware update without going to dealer? Which scanner and which app should be used for check and update? Which is the final version for my car skoda kodiaq rs diesel 12/2018, VIN TMBLM9NS7K8036627. Thanks.

Is there any way to verify if the firmware is legit ?

regarding infotainment, you have the latest update. i have no answer for your other questions

for everyone looking for updates, I believe you missed what I wrote before. you can check by yourselves if there's any update, which is pretty cool

I know I am coming very late to this topic ... 8 pages of postings to read through!  My 2018 Kodiaq shows:

SW Train version:   MH12_ER_SKG13_P4177

Installed SW MU version:  1125.

I presume this is out of date. I had the car serviced at a Skoda main dealer in July, under a 2-year service and warranty plan, and was told that software update is not included. It will cost me up to £150 to have this done by them.

My questions:

Is it right that it's not part of servicing?

What are the benefits of updating the software?

Would that allow me to then turn on full personalisation (the garage said not possible without the update)

Can I update myself through this forum?

Are you after which wire does what? I just did this on a kodiaq.  Search for quadlock wiring diagram for your car.  Sorry, but i cant find the link i used.
