2023 280ps L&K replaced 2016 220ps Style

Featured Replies

Hi and Hello from your neighbour Finland! I have -23 2.0 TDI L&K Estate and I’m tempted to put Eibach pro kit or H&R lowering springs under my Superb. I’m a bit confused about everything and so many different options. I have DCC in my car and don’t know how it matters or not. Could you help me to right spring kit? Because if someone can do it, it’s you👍🏼 I’m so noobie so I can’t even send you a direct message to talk about this. If you can send me a message I would be extremely thankful🫡

@T13

in my opinion, lowering isn't an option for Finland,

don't think all the routes are heated in winter season

if your is 4x4 then take Eibach springs from my 2023. Mk3.FL setup

if FDW then take Eibach springs from my 2016 Mk3 setup

another position is shocks, my suggestion is change them in same attempt.

Bilstein B6 Damptronic (DCC) are the same for 2.0 AWD and FWD

p.s.

2025. july one week trip :)

Are the Bilstein B6 DampTronic 20-254353 completely wrong shock for the Superb in general or they are the wrong setup whilst pairing them with the Kodiaq Eibach springs?

One of my B16 DTC shocks has failed and now have ordered the B6 DT with the rears shocks part being 20-267537 after reading this post.

Now I'm deciding on which springs to go for, either the Eibach springs for the Skoda Superb which will be similar to the B16 setup or the Kodiaq ones suggested to have the ride height.

Mines is a Estate, however the saloon uses the same springs.

Not sure on part number, but I’ve been running the B6 damptronics with Eibach pro springs for a few years now and a right few miles. They are still 100% with no issues to report.

Car sits well even 4 up and the dog in the boot. Handles better than it has any right to for its size.

I'm still on 20-254353(from Golf, Octavia), all ok so far

knocking were solved by replace Bilstein(Febi) top mounts to one year used OEMs

for springs, check this choice tables

Rear springs for a wagon/estate (3V5) r supposed to b different from sedan/saloon (3V3) rear springs.

More weight with the wagon.

Similarly springs r different if AWD or FWD.

At least with Eibach springs....

So have I made a mistake in ordering part no 20-267537 instead of 20-254353!?

@Awesam

What made you switch to B6 @Awesam ?

One of the my rear B16 damptronic has failed was going trying to buy a pair of rears but it was cheaper to buy a kit. Plus our roads here are crap and even at the highest setting my exhaust just clears road bumps so getting a bit of height will help and comfort. Also the B6 setup is slightly cheaper (£1500 v £1800), Ideally wanted to try the KW DTC kit but they are way too expensive at £2500.

As long as the B6s can handle 600bhp and loads of torque I'll be happy! 😁
