That's interesting, still a mystery how my car ended up with such an old OCU software in the first place. Perhaps it had been replaced at some point.

I haven't got a confirmed copy of the 88 software for first update but I will see what the seller says first.

Which seller?

The car dealer I bought the car off recently, they are non Skoda but I don't see any reason why they shouldn't agree to a dealer update under sale warranty.

That being said it I had the TPIs and all available softwares I would be very tempted to do this myself.

Any updates available or recommended for OCUGen3Low? Details are the following: identifier J949, hardware version H14, hardware (and software) number 5WA035282, software version 0092 and odb11 does not show there is a newer version. I assume low goes in pair with swing/bolero and high for amundsen and above.

That is the latest

Effectively the OCU is closely connected to the radio/navigation unit as it acts as a "link" to the FEC and SWAP purchased in the purchase of the car (factory pack) I specify that my system is Amundsen 5F=3V0 035 816

Unfortunately I am still trying to locate the TPI instructions for flashing on top of version 0035.

I believe this is TPI 2064212/1 - Erwin wasn't much help as nothing on there for my VIN. Does anyone have a copy of this file?

I found a website that distributes the software updates only

Thanks

Scott

Hi, the TPI I think is 2072245-5.pdf in Italian I attach the part about OCU

2. OCU ECU software update
Before we start with the upgrade of the OCU ECU to SW 0143:
- To upgrade to the new version SW 0143, first install SW 0088 in the OCU controller! If software 0083 is present in the OCU ECU, perform the upgrade according to task 91Y8 .

Hi, you can use this TPI2060553 procedure to update at  088 version, then you can update simply mode to 143 as TPI 2072245

I searched a lot but still can't find any information on how to obtain the version 88 and install it. Can someone please help me?

Additionally I only see version 139 and 143 on https://vag-flashinfo.de/:

And I also can't find these files, not even from Service42. Does someone know where to find them?

Thanks a lot

I can supply both files, 88 and 143

That would be super helpful. Thanks a lot!

@Rainesh Hi Rainesh, could you supply both files for me also as I still need to perform the update to 88 and then 143 on my OCU?

@matism Did you manage to do this successfully? I know in the TPI it says we need to change the crash signal from "all" to "via CAN". I have a generic Bluetooth OBD, I am wondering if there is an app that can do this programming before I apply the update and then also do the software update special functions for OCU after the update.

Hi, yeah, the update went through successfully. I did not change the crash signal to "via CAN" before the update because my VCDS was too old. And interestingly enough I wasn't able to install version 88, so I tried 143 and this one worked. Afterwards I received my new Hex V2 interface and was able to also change the crash signal from "all " to "via CAN".

@matism I've updated my OCU (B variant) from 0035 directly to 0143. I wasn't able to find the adaptation in VCDS to change the input sign to "via CAN". I read the list a few times but couldn't find an equivalent.

Nothing bad has happened so far however would be good to update this parameter as recommended in the TPI.

Would you be able to give me any pointers?

Hello I beg your pardon, I am also in possession of a VCDS cable and if possible could you please post the step to do for crash signal verification? My OCU is 0139 and I should upgrade to 0143 but I am waiting until I am clear. Thank you Gianfranco

You dont need to change your crash signal because it is already set at 139

@Rainesh - it seems you can't receive messages at the moment.

I was hoping to update my OCU, it's currently:

Address 75: Telematics (J949) Labels:* None
   Part No SW: 5WA 035 284 B HW: 5WA 035 284 B
   Component: OCUGen3High H20 0035

I believe I need to update it to SW:88 and then SW:143? Are you able to provide these files along with any instructions needed please?

The MIB3 is:

Address 5F: Information Electr. (J794) Labels:* None
   Part No SW: 3V0 035 816 B HW: 3V0 035 816 B
   Component: MU-O-ND-EU H22 0270

If I understand correctly, I need to update to SW:0308 and then SW:0330. Are MOI3_EU_SKMQB_P30800P_0308.7z and MOI3_EU_SKMQB_P33000P_0330.zip on MIBsolution OK to use?

Does it matter if I upgrade the headunit or OCU first?

Thanks!

I cleared my inbox now, sent me a PM again.

I can provide you all the files. Use of MIBSolution is at own risk. Also 332 is the latest, not 330.

Interesting! When was 332 released and can you provide it?
